Gasoline smell when engine cold
Your 1993 911 has electronic fuel injection. When the engine is cold, it automatically richens the fuel mixture. This is the equivalent of closing the choke on an old car or tractor with a carburetor. When the car is going down hill, the car is not burning this excess fuel. You are smelling it coming from the exhaust. Once the car warms up, the engine computer automatically leans out the fuel mixture, essentially turning off the choke. Now you don't smell the fuel.
Where is sensor located
generally the yaw rate sensor its located at center of frame of the car , between front seats ,
also check each wheel rotation sensor
How do i fix a car
With tools and hard earned experience. Buy a basic tool kit from Harbor Freight tools and then buy a book on Do It Yourself auto repair, can be found under self help topics on Amazon I would venture to say. I have taken the liberty of suggesting a good basic low cost starter tool kit. Please follow the link

Spoiler
depending on the type there is a motor or magnetic pin system. motors can fail and the magnetic pin type well they can rust up or even the grease in them can freeze up and stop movement. also on some models there is a auto mode this will activate the spoiler at certain speeds. these are prone for failure, for some reason they stop reading the speedo , then in auto or in manual it will not work. also in cold weather you should have it turn'd off... this is recommended from porsche something about only use in above temps of 6.0c 42.8F is minimum low temp. the temp sensor on some turn off the spoiler controls at this speed or a faulty temp sensor not reading the right temp will do this.
Closed loop fuel shut down
I thinking you're right. The ECU controls everything concerning the Engine. I had to replace mine in my 1985 B944. They aren't cheap!
Cost approx. $500.00! But... I would check with your local Porsche dealer/mechanic before replacing it! Also... if the fuel injectors are clogged, or the fuel pump is bad... you may get the same problem.
993 fuel small
check fuel tank connections and connections at the fuel pump, also check the fuel filters in the engine bay and all fuel lines there.
