Gasoline smell when engine cold

Your 1993 911 has electronic fuel injection. When the engine is cold, it automatically richens the fuel mixture. This is the equivalent of closing the choke on an old car or tractor with a carburetor. When the car is going down hill, the car is not burning this excess fuel. You are smelling it coming from the exhaust. Once the car warms up, the engine computer automatically leans out the fuel mixture, essentially turning off the choke. Now you don't smell the fuel.

I changed the battery in my key remote and now it does not work. Manual said that by turning on the ignition (starting the car) it would reset itself. That did not happen. Any ideas?

Its very common for the battery holders to become loose from the circuit board. Open the unit, inspect the board for any loose solder joints, re-solder as needed and make sure the battery is inserted with the proper polarity.

I just replaced my intake gaskets and plenum gaskets, new plugs, cap, rotor, wires, refined the distributor. now I have an engine miss fire at low rpm speeds, what could be happening?

you more than likely have a dirty or bad injector in this situation, you can change your fuel filter and run a can of royal purple maxflow fuel system cleaner to a half a tank of gas if it is not too bad this will probably clear it up, if the low rpm miss is still there you need to bring it into a repair center and have a decarbonization done to the engine this will clean the injectors top end of the motor cataletic convertors and pretty much the intire engine

Spoiler

depending on the type there is a motor or magnetic pin system. motors can fail and the magnetic pin type well they can rust up or even the grease in them can freeze up and stop movement. also on some models there is a auto mode this will activate the spoiler at certain speeds. these are prone for failure, for some reason they stop reading the speedo , then in auto or in manual it will not work. also in cold weather you should have it turn'd off... this is recommended from porsche something about only use in above temps of 6.0c 42.8F is minimum low temp. the temp sensor on some turn off the spoiler controls at this speed or a faulty temp sensor not reading the right temp will do this.

Closed loop fuel shut down

I thinking you're right. The ECU controls everything concerning the Engine. I had to replace mine in my 1985 B944. They aren't cheap! Cost approx. $500.00! But... I would check with your local Porsche dealer/mechanic before replacing it! Also... if the fuel injectors are clogged, or the fuel pump is bad... you may get the same problem.
