may be a cheap aftermarket sensor get a kia brand one it may have to be programmed to read it .

I am assuming this is a manual shift. Have you checked the fluid level in trans? Tried draining and replacing fluid? Checked clutch adjustment?

It says to add brake fluid to clutch master cylinder.

Vanessa, Pep Boys, Autozone, some NAPA's may be able to turn code off for free or any other garage may charge a small fee. Make sure you write down all codes, before erasing for diagnosing purposes. Find the engine identification tag. Attached at the factory, this tag is normally found on the engine block around the coil bolts. The top line of the tag identifies engine size and model year.

Search the block for the engine block casting number. The numbers are raised, not stamped into the block and consist of seven numeric digits. The digits can be located on either side of the block. The seven-digit number may be followed with a dash and further numbers. These are change codes and are not normally necessary to identify the engine.

Locate the casting date is located on the block. It is in standard date coding, 2.25.93, for example and may be located on either side of the block, but is commonly located on the driver's side of the block, above the freeze plugs. The example 2.25.93 decodes as February 25, 1993. The casting date may be near the casting clock, which designates the hour the block was cast. Magnum engines were manufactured from 1993 to 2002, so verifying the date code helps identify the engine.

Battery Disconnect or Replacement Problems

If the hazard switch is in the dash, replace it. if it is in the column, replace the turn signal switch. They are built in together. Check fuses first.

Most likely a signal flasher issue and not a relay. Most flashers are under the dash in the fuse/relay panel. Check owners manual for location

Most likely an internal blower motor issue and will have to be replaced.

You didn't say which engine your Sportage has. My data lists three different engines. I suggest you post again with more details.

check the condition of the alternater etc drive belts , to test rev engine and spray a little WD 40 onto the belts, if the whining goes then if your lucky a new set of belts will be all you need to change , but it could also mean a bearing is wearing out on one or more of the components that are being driven by the belts ,so more diagnosis would be needed if still whining after new set of drive belts
