How do I get the fuel filter off my 03 Jaguar x-type diesel.

the casing either unscrews from the top or there is a bolt that goes up from the bottom and must come out.. be ready to catch the fuel when removing..most are spin on like the engine oil filter..but you must bleed the air out or the car will not start..

I programd my key fob after a new batt all buttens now work fine but my car will not start can you help

There may be a resynchronization between the key/remote and the vehicle. Refer to your owner's manual (available from Jaguar website) for synchronization instructions.

I have a 2003 Jaguar

SOLUTION for x-type Transmission fault error
I had this very same problem. My 02 x-type would get transmission fault code and then shut down into limp mode. If I turned the key off, shifted gears a few times and waited I could start up again and sometimes drive for several miles before the code came back. GOOD NEWS, I thought maybe the vechicle was overheating the tranny or something like that and then after it cooled down I could drive some more. I discovered that my gas station had switched to the 10% ethanol addative about the same time I started experiencing "strange" mechanical issues. I decided to try switching my gas to the non-ethanol gas from a Phillips 66 station that advertised 100% REAL GAS. The problems mysteriously dissappeared!!!! Remember that you MUST use PREIUM gas as per the MFR. Well the 02 3.0 can't handle the 10%ethenol in it's gas. Something else you can try if you can't find REAL GAS is to use the OCTANE boost from your local auto parts store. Pay close attention to which brand you buy since some can harm your fule system. As a side note; I also own an 04 s-type with a 3.0 under the hood. It looks different from my 3.0 and has no problem running on the ethenol added gasoline. However after the horrible mechanical experience I had with the ethenol in the x-type, I now use 100% real gas in both. I have been transmission fault free for 5 months now.

P1110 Intake Air Temperature Sensor Signal (Dynamic Chamber) Circuit
The other DTC refer to mixture issues.

From http://www.bluejag.co.uk

Fault Code:- P0174 Indicates a Power-train fault
The fault is generally due to a problem in the Emission Management (Fuel or Air) area
Fault Description: Bank 2 combustion too lean
Action of ECM:- ECM Default: - Bank 2 catalyst warm-up ignition ****** inhibited - Bank 2 closed loop fuel metering inhibited - Canister purge inhibited - Maximum engine speed reduced
Possible Fault:-
Engine misfire Air intake leak between MAF Sensor and throttle Fuel filter / system restriction Fuel injector restriction Low fuel pump output HO2 Sensor(s) (2/1, 2/2) harness wiring condition fault Exhaust leak (before catalyst) ECM receiving incorrect signal from one or more of the following components: ECT Sensor, MAF Sensor, IAT Sensor, TP Sensor

once again from http://www.bluejag.co.uk

Fault Code:- P0175 Indicates a Power-train fault
The fault is generally due to a problem in the Emission Management (Fuel or Air) area
Fault Description: Bank 2 combustion too rich

Action of ECM:- ECM Default: - Bank 2 catalyst warm-up ignition ****** inhibited - Bank 2 closed loop fuel metering inhibited - Canister purge inhibited - Maximum engine speed reduced

After clearing the DTC, complete the Start engine and bring to normal operating temperature > 82 °C (180 °F) Idle for 10 minutes

Check for a reoccurrence of fault DTC.

Possible Fault:- Restricted air filter Leaking fuel injector(s) ECM receiving incorrect signal from one or more of the following components: ECT Sensor, MAF Sensor, IAT Sensor, TP Sensor

Doors on 2009 honda civic are constantly locking

You say you have a 09 Honda Civic, but it's listed under having problems with an 03 Jaguar X. I'm a little confused. But as for the Honda, it sounds like you need to reprogram the door locks. Whenever you change a battery on these newer cars, it's always a good idea to put a trickle charger on the cables before you disconnect them from the battery, that way stuff like this doesn't happen. here is a site that will help you get it fixed. http://www.civicforums.com/forums/search.php?searchid=2328765

2003 Jaguar X-Type... I unplugged the battery

Does it click at least? Most likely battery terminals are dirty and need to be cleaned and greased. Could be security system needs to be turned off at driver's door lock, left quarter turn, twice.
