BOOT OPEN but not open warning light on dashboard say this with red warning light

The sensor is located and probably built into the boot latch. The sensor is good because the light goes off if you close it slowly. the latch is just worn out with that particular part. Replace the latch. It is not hard to replace if you have a few hand tools.

How do i remove the emergency break cable on the rear caliper of a 2001 jaguar s type?

No, you do not have to remove the emergency break cable unless you are changing the emergency break pads. The caliper acts independent of the emergency break.

I have 2001 jaguar 2 type but keyless remote not work. I buy1 by internet,I take to diller but guy told me not work.you know who sales new remote,

Key less remotes all suffer from the same problem, they are poorly built! 99% of the time they stop working because the solder joints on the circuit board that hold the battery in place get loose. Check your unit have a close look at the solder joints, re-solder any loose ones and put in a new battery, it should start working again. I've fixed so many of them with this problem!

Where do you add transmission fluid

Through the transmission dipstic tube. Use a funnel that will fit into the dipstick tube and SLOWLY pour the transmission fluid into the funnel. Remember to have paper towles with you to catch any remainingbfluid that is in the funnel, and make sure the funnel is clean.

Where do you check transmission fluid at

In the transmission, that is usually attached to the back of the engine. First look at the engine and take note of where the acessory drive system is located (where the belts spin when the engine is running) that is the front of the engine. Somewhere at the opposite side there will be a dipstic tube that will allow you yo check the transmission fluid. That is unless you have a manual transmission (5 or 6 speed with an additional clutch peddal) there usually isnt a way to check the transmission fluid on a manual transmission. I am only giving you basics as I dont know your car very well, you should be able to find most of the information you need to find the transmission dipstic in your owners manual.

Beeping jag wont stop 2001 styp

if the alarm is sounding the common prob. is the pos. battery supply missing from the fem,[ front electric module] located lh lower A post brown/red wire i think. it sets the security system off after you have locked the car, it thinks the battery has been disconnected. the most likely cause is a corroded open circuit wire around the front bumper/lh wheel arch liner area. the power comes from i think the engine bay fuse box, the other option could be a faulty door or trunk/hood latch

Rear pad replacement on a Jaguar S-Type

Well,

I fill you in what I learned today. I have a 2005 S-Type Jaguar and the dealer sayed it needed new pads in the rear. They wanted $300 just for the pads and another $150 or so to install. That $450 bucks to replace the brake pads only on the rear of the car. And of course, the extended warranty doesn't cover this, so I said no thanks. I found the best brake pads from Napa for $52. I purchased them through my brothers shop- saved a little. I done lots of brake pad replacements over the years, but not on a new car like the Jaguar. Well they are a little different and the frist one took me awhile . Here is the trick. 1) MAke sure the parking brake is off and you do this by starting the car, stepping on the normal brake and then pushing the parking break lever down while shutting off the car. 2) You then take the tire off, use jack stands to ensure safety.3) Take off brake callipers, 2 bolts and the brake pads should just fall off.4) take the anti-rattle plate off the old pads by prying it off carefully with a tiny screw driver- clean and then install on the new ones. 5) Here I release the the valve for the brake fluid. I did not want to damage the system if the fluid went back into the system when I retracted the calliper. You use some fluid, but you can add when finished. 6)You either need one of those brake calliper tools that you push the calliper in with and If you don't have the trick new one with the keys to turn the brake calliper cylinder, you can get by with the old version like I did and use a pair of channel locks to turn counter clockwise, while continuing to turn the tool. The cylinder needss pressure on it while you turn. This will put in in the proper place. 7) Ensure you have the slots up and down so that the pin in the pad fits up into the cylinder. you know this is correct when you have it perfect vertical and center within the calliper. Pay attention when taking off! 8) Set the brake pads in their proper place and then slide the calliper over them. IT should go over freely or else you need to turn more on the cylinder. 9) Tighten the bolts and replace the tire and you are done. Next side!
Hope this helps. -Dave @ [email protected]
