Cold start no problem, warm start need to floor
Can I get the exact error codes just to be sure the diagnosis is correct? Normally for these errors it involves air fuel mixture since these are the sensors that help control the air and fuel mixture. It is possible that the fuel pressure is not correct, vacuum hoses are loose or faulty, bad wiring or even a faulty EGR valve. Heat can affect sensors, conduction of wires and fluid this is why these items came up on top of my head.

1998 Jag xj8l lost reverse,
There is no dipstick on your tranmission. There is a fill plug that
needs to be removed to check the level once the trans fluid temp reaches
30-40 degrees C. When the fluid is full it will drip out of that fill
plug. The fill plug is the 8mm hex on the passenger rear of the trans
case.
1998 XJ8 Auto Power Steering problem. There is a
I would definately take it in and have it looked at, but it sounds like the steering pump is starting to fail. I wouldn't say you're in any danger of not being able to steer your car, but it will get progressively worse the longer you drive it. Hope this helps.
My traction and stability controll failure lights
i believe they are related to a abs problem. the car uses the abs to control the stability (braking on certain wheels when nessisary) there is probably a malfunction in the abs system that's why the light is on constantly. this would need to be looked at by a professional repair facility.
I was driving my engine stop running as if it was
There's one more fuel related device, and one more fuel screen you can check. I do not know the specifics of your vehicle, but most fuel systems will have a fuel pressure regulator. When this fails, even though you have a clean filter and new pump, the proper fuel pressure is not achieved. In vehicles with an In-tank electric fuel pump, there is a fine screen that the fuel is drawn through prior to entering the pump. If you ever ran low on gas, then this screen is likely to have been clogged up by the deposits in your tank. If your vehicle shuts down, and you can start it by spraying starter fluid in the intake, then you should stay on the fuel system checks until you get it right. If your issue is a no-spark condition, then you should begin to look into the distributor and associated components. I have a lot more advice, but I'd like to narrow it down a bit based on further testing by you. Lets get this figured out !
Car started not startin well if was left 4 a few
you need to sort out if fuel or spaark issue. Can you hear fuel pump in gas tank run for 5 seconds when you turn the key to ON? Spray a burst of starting fluid into the throttle body or bgi air intake hose and see if it starts for a few seconds. If yes, then you have a fuel issue, maybe need a pump. Need to drop the tank to do that though. Check for 40 psi of pressure first.
If not, then it could be no spark. bad crank sensor, cam sensor, etc.
Is the yellow check engine light on too? If yes, get codes to find cause.
Driver's seat motors all work, memory recall
Hi
Took the switch apart and found that the PCB had been pushed into the switch too far because the very small amount of plastic that's in there to keep it in its place had broken off and had allowed the PCB (which is what the buttons are mounted to) to not be seated up as high as it's supposed to. Therefore you couldn't push the buttons down far enough for them to make contact. And that's why they didn't work.
Contact your dealer if you can't handle it by your own.

the remote may have come un-synchronised. (Due to a heavy knock or interference from a radio transmitter source. Like someones speed radar detector, or when the battery went flat.)
Consult your dealer on the synchronising process. This is an involved process but easy enough to do yourself at home!
I had to pt a new alternator on my car after
Check all your ground connections to make sure they are clean and tight. Check all the fuses, especially the ones marked ignition or battery. Even though it's a new alternator, you need to have it checked to see if it is producing the proper voltage. Make sure the battery voltage is a minimum 12 volts. Anything less will trigger a fault. Have the computer scanned, and make sure the fault codes are cleared with the scanner.
