2003 Hyundai Tiburon - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My tiburon will not let
Not actually au-fey with this model but some cars have a little button just above the key slot which needs pushing in to release the key lock. Another reason could be that the handbrake is not fully on. Thirdly try just pushing the key in hard before turning (usually) Anti-clockwise this will release the concealed internal lock.

My 2003 Tiburon GT is having random misfires on
Check you fuel pressure, If it's low, it cause cause your symptom. Have you checked your timing? Your belt may be skipping, if it's old it could be losing it's teeth, change it before it skips bad enough to cause you valves and pistons to crash into each other. Could be a bad cam / crank sensor also. Pull your codes and see what you OBD II is telling you.

How do I diagnose why one of my headlights will not work?
the h 7 bulb is a quartz halogen bulb and if touched with the bare fingers has an extremely short life
you have to use gloves when handling the bulbs as the oil from the fingers reacts with the glass when in use and blows the bulbs
they will also blow from bad/ loose ground points and if allowed to arc ( as in welding ) will fail quickly
you should get 12 volts to both bulbs at one terminal while the other is the grounding wire
check for problem relays in the power wire

My 2003 tiburon was working fine turned it off
Hello Kimberly 210,
I looked up your ignition to assure MYSELF your
key ... is indeed a standard
TRANSPONDER.
(no idea what country we are talking about...??)
That type of response SEEMS to be a
SECURITY
response... As though
ONE of your keys is in trouble...
(
TRANSPONDER KEYS can be damaged & intermittent) ...
My best advice is to get on eBay and find yourself
a COUPLE of NEW uncut OEM key replacements...
Shop around and find out if you have a cooperating
locksmith who will cut and code the keys for you...
The BEST price I've paid was $6 per key cut...
The worst was $60..
(they ruined my OEM key and sold me a generic
(I felt it was deliberate.. my OPINION)).
IN ANY CASE: If you wait until the key goes bad a DEALER CAN GET (page 120, 3-10 owners manual)
from $300 to $600 for full key service
AND that
IS
NOT INCLUDING the
tow charges.
Some cars allow you (the owner (nothing found))
to code the keys yourself...
but you CANNOT do it WITHOUT at least
TWO (2)
WORKING KEYS...
Sorry... I don't know TIBURON specifics

Tiburon ABS and Brake Lights on - No diagnostics code
A few years ago, my Sons Hyundai Sonata had some strange problems with his ABS and brake lights staying on. It turned out , the brake light switch at the bottom of the brake pedal had come loose. I tightened it up and it has been ok ever since. Just a thought but anything is possible these days with all the electronics in cars.
