i have a 2005 hyundai both back doors would not open from the outside . after taking the panel off i found out that the handle is completely plastic and that it had broke in half because off stress . i removed the handle ( which was a pain ) and used quick drying epoxy on the crack . then i put a thin piece if aluminum on each side of the crack and used the same epoxy to hold it on . the next day i put the handles back on ( after letting the epoxy dry ) and it has worked perfect ever since. my next recourse , if it breaks again , is go to ebay . there is a seller if you type in hyundai door handles that sells 2 after market ones for $39.99. they fit 2001 to 2005 . i hope that this helps .

You will be needing to disassemble the whole rear door or lid. Inside you may find a plastic part broken. You should find a lot of plastic clips holding it all together, which clips will break when you start to take the door apart. Which clips may be very hard to find replacements, unless you go to Hyundai. Be blessed.

no.. its vacuum operated baffle doors in the ductwork.. some stick in cold weather..

was regulator bad? did it work from drivers side switch before you did regulator repair?..if so passenger side switch wiring has issue and is not sending signal through it back to the drivers side master switches.. otherwise you need to pin test for power up power down on drivers side switch and repair that if issue going to the window on passenger side.. (possible pinched at door jam area common)

Eddie, Im having the same problem with my 98 accent. Ive changed the plugs and wires. Thinking I might start by trouble shooting distributor coil...

I think that the 2002 accents still have a external fuel pump i would change that but to be shue it is a fuel problem remove the fuel line from the fuel rail and cycle the key on and off checking to see that there is no fuel spurting out of the line. New fuel pumps aer extremly quiet

causes --spark plugs---HT leads---injectors---ignition coils---low compression---wiring. ==Injectors and coils would be good starting points.

You will need to use a deep well socket and two extensions and a ratchet. Its a little tricky but it can be done. Thanks for Using FixYa!

You'll have to purchase the part from the dealer and I believe it isn't that expensive. One word of warning though, make sure you paint the rubber with a good quality automotive touch-up paint or the sun will destroy the new part rather quickly, I learned the hard way! If I remember correctly, I believe I had to remove the trunk liner panel near the antenna and the boot comes off with 1 (?) screw. And while you are at the dealer, you might want to pick up the brake pedal stop switch urethane button, under $2, as these fail and when they do your brake lights will stay on causing a dead battery situation. The button is on the brake pedal arm just below it's pivot point and contacts the brake light switch. What usually happens is you find the urethane button laying on the drivers floor mat in pieces, then you discover the dead battery because the brake lights stay on several hours.

If this is related to the fuel filling, evaporative canister issue, maybe the following will help. Most of the components for the fuel tank are located near the tank itself, with some near the front of the tank and the evaporative canister components behind the driver side rear wheel inside a splash cover.The biggest problem people complain about is not being able to fill the tank without the pump stopping if the tank is filled at a higher rate than a trickle. This issue is caused by trying to overfill the tank after the fill nozzle has clicked off causing fuel to damage the evaporative charcoal canister clogging it and causing the blow back to the filler neck and fill nozzle, simulating a full tank shut-off of the filling process. This is not exclusive of Hyundai, and gas pumps usually warn of overfilling the fuel tank because of this known result. This evap containment mechanism was developed for the cars to replace the vapor collecting mechanism that gas stations used to use partly for the fill nozzle and collection dangers, now all that vapor is collected and safely burned when the engine is running. When you turn on fan,is air coming out of vents normal but not getting hot or cold.If no air is coming out,then blend door is shut,causing air to back up and maybe cause that noise,here are 2 links on how to replace blend door and blower motor,join the A.Z.site,at top right hand corner of page,it's so free,then you can use their repairs like me.I just had my evaporator replaced,it was clogged up,a mouse made a home in the box that holds it,air is suppose to go thru it,but it backed up and made a noise,had midas repair,cause freon had to be removed to replace part,it's located next to blower,your blend door flap is probably broken,just stays closed.

Automatic transmission, right? Likely cause is the brake pedal switch located on the brake pedal arm near the firewall. This switch controls an interlock solenoid, a safety feature, that will not allow the shifter to move unless the brake pedal is depressed. Another possibility is the brake relay located on the under-hood fuse panel. Good luck.

A plugged catalytic converter will cause power loss all the time, however, it will be much more noticeable under power.

could be the pick up sensor on the crank . they are rather sensitive

NO JUST DISCONNECT BATTERY FIRST (GROUND ONLY) AND LABLE WIRES AT STARTER SO THAT YOU PUT WIRES BACK IN ORIGINAL PLACE WITH NEW STARTER .AND REHOOK BATTERY ONCE ALL YOUR CONNECTIONS ARE SECURED

transmission in automatic 02 hyundai accent is side mounted therefore needs to be removed through the passenger front tire.

Manual Atenna?.. -- unscrews and screws?? (counter-clockwise to 'UNSCREW' and 'CLOCK-WISE' to screw in the new one.... pretty simple... ya think?
