Sounds like a bad ignition switch. The age of your vehicle warrants changing the switch.

Faulty relay or blown fuse.

That sounds like the fuel pump may have lost it's prime. Does it have fuel injection, or a carburetor on the engine? How much gas was in the tank while it was parked on an incline? Have you tried any starting fluid sprayed into the air intake hose, toward the engine? Warning! Don't use much starting fluid! Perhaps a one or two second burst, and have someone crank it immediately after you have stepped back at least 6 feet from the engine. If it fires, then it is definitely a fuel delivery problem! But it won't run long like that unless the fuel pump starts working again ... which is most likely when the engine is cold!

The brake pads have rusted to the rotors. Less likely, there is a brake caliper that is stuck due to rust.

It's on the starter.

Check for vacuum leaks, disconnected hoses, etc. Then adjust the BISS (Base Idle Speed Set Screw). Follow this guide. 1G BISS Adjustment

They have a coil pack; no distributor cap.

Bring it to a shop. It requires removing the transmission, which is a ton of work.

In the gas tank.

Sounds like you need a clutch.

if you have the 1.8L engine, you can just replace the belt and you'll be fine.

if its the 2.0L(turbo or non-turbo) , you will have bent valves.
the head needs to be pulled and the valves replaced.

It could still have a lower end knock but we'll talk about the extra fuel for now. If all cylinders are too rich, it could be a problem with the computer, a short in the wiring harness, or the fuel pressure regulator rather than just one injector. The computer decides how long the injectors are open.

If you know for sure that the alternator is good then use an Ohm meter to check set to DC 20 when the car is in the ON position but not running. Unplug the alternator and put the red end on the positive side of the alternator plug and touch the negative to any other metal surface. Should be the same reading as your battery is when you do the same test on the battery. If not, then the wiring is bad and needs to be replaced. Just because something is new doesn't mean it works so if this test doesn't work, take out the alternator and have it tested. Also check fuses!!!
