My 2005 Lincoln Aviator will not start. It sounds as if it wants to but it never catches. We changed the starter but still nothing. Any advice on what we can try next.

Check battery cables an connections ! Do a starter circuit voltage drop test . You need a volt meter to do this , Starter Voltage Drop could have a bad cable !

What happens when a speed sensor messes up on a 2005 lincoln Aviator 4.6L? I'm having trouble with the transmission

5R55 N/S/W 5 Speed Rear Wheel DriveThese style transmissions do not have fill tubes to commonly check the trans fluid level. This transmission has a common problem of the case bores wearing out where the o/d - Intermediate servo pistons ride, causing various transmission slipping codes. There are also several different valve bodies and solenoid packs, Be careful. https://estimate.myautomatictransmission.com/lincoln-navigator-transmission-common-problems

Engine light flashing 2005 Lin. Aviator

If the check engine light is flashing, DO NOT continue to drive the vehicle. If it is on steady, it's an indication that the computer has detected a problem. If it's flashing, it's a problem that may result in damaging the engine if not corrected. You will have to have the codes read to determine what the problem is.

2005 lincoln aviator codes po171 po174 p2195 p2197

This DTC is a very common issue on the V6 and refer at the little rubber elbow on the PVC wears through.

P0171 - System Too Lean (Bank 1)

P0174
- System Too Lean (Bank 2).

Those lean codes are for a lean fuel condition. The first thing I would check is for a vacuum leak. Especially look around the PCV system. Look for soft or collapsed hoses in the PCV system, (especially the rubber elbows) these are very common issue for failure and cause of lean codes. Also check around the intake manifold for leaks or any other hoses that may have come off.

Next I would check fuel pressure and the fuel filter for blockage. If the filter is old you might as well replace it. If and when you find an issue you will have to have a scan tool to reset the check engine light before you go back through emissions.

Check that stuff and let us know what you find.

How to jump ac compressor

Well, I will tell you that the electric plug that is on the low pressure A/C switch will engage the compressor clutch when you put a jumper wire in the electric plug. This is done sometimes to draw in Freon to charge the system and then eliminated when there is enough Freon pressure to cause the low pressure switch to work again. Then the pressure switch will cycle as Freon pressure builds. In no manner should any attempt be made to operate (drive) the vehicle with the switch bypassed as it will destroy the compressor and possibly melt the serpentine belt and parts will go flying. IF the system is low on Freon after 9 years a boost of Freon with sealer will help. You need some tools with a pressure gauge for A/C. The ideal amount of Freon is what the manufacturer shows on the A/C label plus oil. There are other tools like Vacuum pumps which take the moisture out of a system. If the system is not empty, you may be able to add Freon. Read up on this more.
