Your battery( main starting battery as the car has two ) for this model is actually in the boot / trunk area on the left hand side hidden behind the trim. One check you can do is open the fuel cap see if you hear air rushing in when you open it. Sounds like something is shorted to ground. When you change out the fuse it energizes a relay and then pulls too many amps.

Has nothing to do with battery changes friend, but everything to do with the amount of charge in your A/C system. Not enough refrigerant makes for not enough pressure to actuate the compressor clutch. Too much refrigerant will also blow warm air. You best take your toy to a dealer or A/C expert or take your chances on adding more refrigerant until it works just right.

I would check oil level, then check for proper valve clearance, possible lifter ticking.
