my saturn knocks 3 times but doesn't seem to case any problems
It's the vent solinoid on the fuel filler neck. It is self checking, it is perfectly normal.

Had the valve cover gasket and the drive belt replaced on my '93 Saturn SL1. Noticed new noise when I started car and for a few miles driving. Mechanic says that valve lifters need replacing, and soon. I think they have been making noise for quite a while. How can I tell if they need replacing, and if they have been bad for quite a while, has that damaged anything else, like valves, etc. Also, I think maybe that there are two separate noises, the lifters and a new noise starting after the gasket and drive belt were replaced. What could that be? Help!!

valve lifters make a kind of rattly knocking noise! which sort of follow engine revs.if they are gone you may need a new camshaft as well, best to do itr all at the same time and are sold as a kit.are you sure there is a new noise or are you just listening harder?

I can not discern exactly where the drain plug is on my Saturn Vue. The crankcase under the engine is not as immediately recognizable as what I am used to seeing. I think I finally located the oil filter on the lower left side of the engine accessible from under the hood.
It is probably a bit different on the 4-cyl engines than the V6 engines. I'll assume you have the V6 for the moment since those seemed to be more popular.
On the 3.5L V6, the drain plug is behind the passenger side wheel well and I believe takes a 17mm socket/wrench to remove.

My heated seats just suddenly stopped working, I checked the fuse and it's fine. Is this common? Do I need to pay the dealer to fix this? heated seat stopped working
This is not un- common. The heating elements do wear after a while. It is probably an open circuit in one of the pads in your seat. A quick restance check can determine which one it is.

2003 Saturn Vue Man Trans. 80,000 miles. Idles very rough and has a difficult time accelerating at low speeds. I have not tried going faster than 20 mph.
Service Engine Light Flashes, but the code reader I have states no error codes are found.
I would take it in and have them do a diagnostic on it, sounds like the cam shaft sensor to me.

My radio won't pick up any stations anymore. Is this a common problem? The CD player is working, but the AM/FM radio won't pick up any station, anywhere.

05 vue ac problem, ac not cold at idle, blows cold while driving, had checked freon is full, expansion valve was replaced, because high side flutters and low side does same. seems that compressor doesnot cycle,with gauges low side doesnot come down low enough to allow compressor to cycle. have any ideas
Hello, Are the cooling fan(s) coming on with the truck in park and the engine at idle? If the cooling fan(s) are not working A/C will not cool with truck setting still.

My rear hatch will not open on my 2005 saturn vue. There is no key lock on the outside in my model. Any idea how to fix it?
Sorry, I don't have the data now..... but.Some hatches have a manual release on the inside. There might be a small plate near the door center that you can remove and open the hatch with a screwdriver.
but...I'm not sure tho about your car.

I charged the battery all night..then If i drive the car A long distance or A Medium distance and shut it off then it Wont start again Without Jumper cables..but it Start's without having to wait for a few minuets for the jumper cables to transfer the power it starts INSTANTLY when i put the cables on..Is altenator bad?
