Car will not start

Because the engine turns over means your started had enough voltage to turn ON. You can easily test the voltage on the battery with a volt meter. It should be about 12.0 Volts when the engine is not running. Batteries should normally be charged every few days for about 1/2 hour each time. You can go a short time for a couple of weeks without charging as long as you don't get in to a habit of doing that. If you went for months without running your car; I assumed you had to replace the battery already or your battery would not have been able to turn over the engine or hold a charge. The automatic door locking is the least of your problems. It might be your car did not have a battery of proper voltage for an extended period of time. Gasoline does not age well if you did not place any additive for prolonged storage. Even the additive for prolong storage says about a 6 month period. Maybe you should take out some gasoline from your tank to see if it still looks good. I normally don't fill my tank but every 1 to 2 months (without a problem) with no additive added, but 1 year is a long time. My guess is 1 year old gasoline may have changed over time and thickened and it could have contaminated your fuel system. Depending on how old and how much fuel is in the tank can affect your next step. If the fuel is the problem; you will have to drain the tank and possibly have someone use one of the pressurized fuel cleaning treatments. You might need a new fuel filter, and I know there is a pressure regulator to return the fuel to the tank as well as fuel injectors and the fuel rail. I have never had gasoline that old, so you might need a professional mechanic if you are dealing with old fuel in the system. The only gasoline I trust to age over time is Coleman fuel in a sealed container (also known as white gas). This can be found where they sell outdoor camping equipment. I don't know if that will help, but I had to run 1 gallon of this in 1992 Oldsmobile 88 because there was no gasoline. Coleman fuel is ultra refined gasoline without the extra additives they normally put in gasoline.

Speed,rpm,gas,odometer gauges not working

Sounds like a body control module. It is located on top of the glove box. Unfortunately, the miles are stored in this module, so you have to go to a dealer to have it programmed.

Where is the blower motor

To access the blower motor, you have to remove the wiper arms and the black cowl cover. Reomove the cabin air filter and you should see it. You must first remove the black plastic frame, and the motor slides out of a channel.

Replace right remote control mirror

The small triangle cover on the inside of the door pops off, just clips. There is a black circle plug just in front of it. These will give you access to the 3, 10mm nuts to remove the mirror.

I have a Saturn L200.

I'm experiencing the same things with my '03 l200. My mechanic replaced the fuel pump about 3 times before finally telling me it was the body control module. It will cost me about $260. On top of the problems you mentioned, my car also doesn't register miles in the odometer, and the dashboard lights flicker. He said all this was because of the faulty body control module.

2001 saturn L20 When

Hello Anniesattic0, Well it sounds like you're describing at least 4 different issues: When i would start the car there was a scraping sound This could be a multitude of issues. Bad starter, electric cooling fan attempting to turn, water pump failure, insufficient engine oil, etc. i would have to drive faster to keep the temp down: Never a good idea. Sounds like water pump has failed, or electric cooling fan has failed. Lack of coolant (NOT water). Thermostat stuck open. when i get to a light it would idle and feel like it was wanting to die. Probably overheating due to afore mentioned cooling fan or water pump issues. Possibly IAC (Idle Air Control) valve failure, EGR valve failure, MAF/MAP dirty, TPS sensor bad. I would lean towards IAC Valve failure or port blockage and/or engine temperature issues. I went to start the car and when i turned the key it would want to start but wont. Is this when the engine is hot? Again due to the first two issues. If when cool, then check the entire charging system (Battery, cables, starter and alternator. Ensure all cables are in perfect shape and connected well. Based on your description, I would lean strongly towards Water pump failure first. Electric radiator cooling fan a close second. Then have charging system checked. It's time to find a good mechanic to help you out. Best regards, helpful-eqs5sz3xncjk4vrofhsifsbp-5-0.png

My 2001 Saturn L200 service

Service (Wrench) System Check The SERVICE (Wrench) telltale is turned ON by the cluster when it receives a command from the powertrain control module (PCM) or the body control module (BCM). The PCM or BCM will turn the SERVICE (Wrench) telltale ON for all non-emission related diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) that require that a telltale be turned ON, some DTCs do not turn ON a telltale but are stored to aid in diagnosis. The SERVICE (Wrench) telltale will also be turned ON if the Antilock Brake System (ABS) control module has detected a fault in its own warning indicator system. If the ABS cannot turn ON its own telltale, a message will be sent to the BCM through the Key Word 2000 data bus to turn ON the SERVICE (Wrench) telltale. The SERVICE (Wrench) telltale will be turned ON by the cluster for 2-3 seconds, when the ignition is turned to RUN, for a visual system check. You need to have codes checked .
