Kevin, unfortunately this requires removal of the instrument panel. The bulbs are screwed into the circuit board on the back of the instrument panel. This can be a messy job if you've never had one off before.

A Central locking solenoid, stuck half way through cycle, its a matter of finding out which one? Had a Ford that did that when the weather was below freezing. It is likely to be a rear lock, because you can over ride the front doors with the key. Hope that helps

Try coating it with brake fluid. Use very little- just enough to coat it.

Jeff, your problem sounds like a simple fix BUT finding that weak grounding point/connection is a pain. Start by pulling and inspecting connectors/connections, reconnecting. Your car may have experienced a high, high moisture problem at some point in its life.
