Engine light on with P2096 code

Did you replace the O2 sensor after the catalytic converter? This code is set by the rear O2 sensor. It usually indicates early failure or restricted catalytic converter. May want to have an exhaust back pressure test performed.

Clutch switch bad

Clutch switch keeps it from cranking. You can bypass the cluctch switch. Make double sure transmission is in neutral. On many jeeps, under the hood is fuse/relay box. One of the relays is the starter motor. Pull the relay. With a pair of pliers, take a paper clip and short the pins that go to starter. They wire can get hot. If the starter cranks, you might be right (see ignition switch and any interlocks - like clutch switch), if the starter doesn't crank, get a new starter.

How to reset the P2096 code error on my 05 Wrangler?

2095 ( a jeep factory code that is , jeep only) reset. like all cars , you can reset any code, with any scan tool but if the failure is real and present it will NOT. that is its purpose to report real failures. is this the 3.8Liter v6 , like mine is? DOWNSTREAM FUEL TRIM SYSTEM 1 LEAN down means not the front sensor. engine >>>>Up >>>>CAT >>>> down?>>>>> tail pipe end. this is an air leak (crack) behind the cat converter or the sensor is bad, (down stream.) or wires fell off, (common) LOOK FIRST.see damage there?

Why will my jeep not start

Likely that the "clicking sound" behind the dashboard is the IGNITION RELAY. Start by replacing the ignition relay (inexpensive and easy to replace).

Trying to get oxysens htr mon and catalyst mon to reset

Do you have a Scan tool to plug in to the cars CPU . You must reset from this scan tool and did you change the O2 Sensor with the battery hooked up. Try and take the Negative battery post wire off and wait for about 15 min then hook it up this might clear the CPU but the Scan Tool is the way to go because something else might be causing that light to stay on . Look for other issues you might have changed your sensors for no reason and make sure your gas cap is on and on right . Sounds like you need to rescan to check for other problems. need more info on what is going on and what you have done . Let me know I will try to help .

Death wobble jeep

Then your done All jeep vehicles have had the wobble thing for decades Unless you waste money on professionals attempting to find the reasons for the issues, the only way to resolve it, is start taking the front suspension apart completely & find something that is worn, basically go thru the entire front end including the steering & then check out the rear suspension real good Not likely your working on your own vehicle or paying anyone, at least any one knowledgeable enough to resolve things Try the web sites or forums that are jeep related Keep in mind they are mostly kids that don't know what they are asking or talking about.

2005 jeep wrangler when i turn lights on beeping starts

did you RTM read the operators guide yet, it tells you why all beeps beep and what lamps flash, (warning) and why. did you? you turn on, the head lights, (what about 1st click , parking lights"?) and does the dash cluster, show warnings of any kind? if a door is ajar the system will think, you are exiting veh. with lights on and tell you, buy beeping ,etc. but on my jeep it says on the dash DOOR, or on EVICs, (not yours) the newer car even tells what door IS AJAR. mine on shows , "DOOR" the operator guide will say, check all doors for ajar, and get warning clear before driving....etc. if you lost the guide here it is for free http://justgivemethedamnmanual.com/jeep/jeep-wrangler-owners-manuals/ click the 05 link ignore beeps, there are just too many .. i look at the cluster and learn to read it.. my newer jeep 08 can produce 1000s of errors,,,,, possible. in fact the intent it to beep to tell the driver to look at the cluster for in depth, causes. see chapter starting on page 136' once sound it makes is Check gauges chime. so check them. and headlamps left on and door ajar. page 63 NOTE: If the driver's door is left open, and the headlights or parking lights are left on, the "High Beam Indicator Light" will flash and a chime will sound. Lights-On Reminder If the headlights or parking lights are on after the ignition is turned off, a chime will sound when the driver's door its a crude system, and evolved to complex in 2007. "DOOR" or RF-door , on mine. or NOTE: A tone will chime if the turn signals are left on for more than 1 mile (2 km). search manual for "chime will sound"
