1993 Jeep Cherokee: hissing/weak brakes
If you are talking about when you push the pedal you hear an air noise and the pedal is real hard to push then you most likely have a bad power booster. If your pedal is weak and goes low to the ground you most likely have a bad master cylider as well. Best to just change both. For that year model shouldnt cost much and not hard to install.

93 cherokee no fire to coil what could be the problem please help
Look at your dash gauges when you turn on the ignition....is the check engine light coming on? If not, your ecu computer needs to be repaired since the ecu will not sent power to the main relays until that check engine light comes on. No power to the main relays means no power to your ignition coil or fuel pump. Repair services are available.

Take it to the dealer and have it checked on diagnostics as this will bring up an error code telling you what the problem is, it could be that when you changed your bits and pieces you may have triggered an error code on the computer and you will have to have it cleared to put things right,or it could be that the cps has triggered an error code and you will need to clear it to get the car running again i had the same problem with my cherokee and i changed the cps but it still would not start and it was only by chance that i found out from a friend who works on them that i found out about the computer error, but because i live in the sticks of egypt there was no where to get it done so my friend told me how to bypass the error code on the computer and it has been fine ever since hope this helps

I have a 1993 cherokee
Plugs are the right ones, (gap at .035 ) Lets start with the simple things first, such as , have you changed grade, and/or brand of oil by chance? Have you checked and/or replaced PCV valve and any filters ? Does it puff smoke all the time, or only when stopping quick and taking off quick? Is engine running at normal temperature, or is it running a little hotter since this started?
If all these check out good, perhaps a wet/dry compression test at this stage would be a good idea.

93 Cherokee Heater/Blower/AC not working
Remove the insturment panel cover right behind the radio, remove the switch assembly look on the back right hand side there is a black plug connection (5 or 6 prong flat). this plug is and will always be a problem with jeeps. somtimes when a raido has been put in, the plug can be pushed away and there you go no heat, no fan. it could also be vibration from going down a rough trail.

Trerrible vibration and shake in
The problem is likely a weak steering dampner/shock. I just put one one mine this morning as it was doing the exact same thing.

you need to check the Throw out bearing, the Cherokee XJ has a Hydraulic Throw out bearing. the slave cylinder is Inside the bell housing and the transmission and everything needs to be removed to get to it. You will see two hydraulic lines that go from the slave calendar to the throw out bearing. chances are that the bearing is bad, maybe the roller part is ok, but the part that expands to push on the pressure plate is bad. I had this and it was my first hydraulic bearing, but it is a pain, because everything has to be removed to get to it. good luck.
