97 acura tl 2.5 turns over but want start

Check for broken, loose, or disconnected wires to your PGM-F1 and ignition unit. If there's none, check for the functionality of these control units. Check also if your camshaft position sensor works. You may also want to check your spark plugs gaps, fuel filter, pump, and fuel lines.

How to make the ebrake light turn off when the ebrake is not on

The light can stay on for other reasons other then the park brake. Things like low fluid level in the master cylinder and defective master cylinders make it come on. Of course the park brake switch is also a common reason. Check the park brake switch for damaged wiring or other issues first.

1999 acura tl 3.2 at 3000 rpms it acts like it has a rev limiter. An it wont let it shift until you let off the gas

HelloThe engine and automatic transmission in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM

Check Engine light on Acura TL 3.2 1999

You can turn off the Check Engine light by either disconnecting the battery or by using a code reader to clear the codes. However, if the problem still exists it will come right back on. Instead you should get the code read, find out what the problem is, and fix it. Your local autozone or checker auto parts store will read them for free.

Acura said I needed a new transmission...8 months ago...help & opinions needed please.

A litany of woes longer than my arm. Car is aging- fast! Only you can decide if it's worth any more of your time and money. Definitely not $6000. I also, am curious how Acura found the transmission problem. 8 months may not be long enough to give you a definitive answer, one way or the other. You could pay your mechanic to do some diagnosing and try to get an answer for it. But even if the transmission is okay, the cost of the other fixes will quickly mount up...and car has 170K now. Like I said, car is aging fast. If you put a thousand or two in it, you would need to keep it going about two more years to be cost-effective. And with your luck or karma with this car...IDK.. It's your decision. If the battery was tasered (never heard of this-but thieves are remarkably ingenious), it probably only affected the battery, if it didn't blow any fuses.Good luck.
