Have the chance to buy one but seller has said
Only buy it if you don't mind an engine change or an engine rebuild.
He and you don't know what is wrong with the missing cylinder at this time....so go with the worst it could be.
If it's a minor thing.......all the better for you.
But ...why not have it looked at before purchase so everyone knows whats up with it and what it WILL cost to repair.

37,000m 250 six cylinder with no compression. Timing chain setup
Remove any belts, pulleys, accessories that are in front of the front covers on the engine. Remove the covers, you should see the timing chain, crankshaft pulley and camshaft pulley. Turn the crankshaft be hand until the indicator mark on the crankshaft lines up with indicator mark on the engine. It will usually be a arrow or indicator line. Next look at the cam shaft pulley, it to will have an indicator mark, see that they are matched up, If not try turning the crankshaft one more revolution, align the marks and recheck the camshaft. If it is not possible to get both marks lined up at the same time the timing is off.

I have a 1994 Mercury
It's probably not the alternator. The problem is either the belt is being overtightened or one of the other belt-driven accessories is bad.
Change oil pump
What you really want to do is have a technician remove the oil sending unit and attach a pressure gauge of known reliability. Only then can you know if your pressure is good or bad.
If you have to change an oil pump, you can have problems reaching it. You may be able to find a Video or text online for your exact model. The Capri series covers a lot of Years and the engines may be different and one year may be a front wheel drive while an older one may be rear wheel drive.
One of the biggest problem is having clearance to remove the oil pan. Sometimes in the closest clearances turning the crankshaft can help make room to drop the oil pan.
Front wheel drive units can have a cradle which blocks pan removal. You need to find out the requirements for your exact year.
The pressure test will help diagnose other problems. Bad bearings can leak so much oil that pressure will behave exactly like you describe.
Turning over but not firing
Need more details. Could be fuel delivery (bad fuel pump or clogged fuel filter) or your coil went bad not sending a spark to the spark plugs. Start there and see what you find.
Driver side door handle
open door remove panel, put window up,locate and remove fastner behind door handle, install opposite.
FUEL INJECTOR WILL NOT OPEN
This is a common occurrance on Ford and Mercury,Put the key on, you will have harness with a male to female connection wiggle and or twist till you hear a click from the relay area, when you do you found the problem start the vehicle
Need timing specs for 1981
