Hello and welcome to FixYa!
I suspect that the MAF (mass air flow) sensor is faulty. The MAF sensor controls the air and fuel mixture of the car and most of all the vacuum supply. It is located on the throttle body and it won't be hard to replace.
I believe that you'll be good after the maf sensor replacement and the rpm will surely sit on it's right position.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

each headlight assembly has its own heavy ground wire connecting to the chassis ground. when one side is dim or does not work, even with known good bulbs, generally it means that ground connection has a problem. find it, take it apart, clean it, and reassemble it. if that does not work make absolutely sure you have the correct bulb in the correct socket, if so and problem persists take it to a dealer.

Sound like a problem With the Crank position sensor (CPS). Bad crank position sensor can worsen the way the engine idles, the pistons fire, or the acceleration behaviour. If the engine is revved up with a bad or faulty sensor, it may cause misfiring, motor vibration or backfires. Accelerating might be hesitant, and abnormal shaking during engine idle might occur. In the worst case the car may not start.

I can almost guarantee you that you have a bad injector. You need to unplug the connector and check the resistance of that injector compared to the others. If it does not have the same resistance it is bad.
You can also use a long screwdriver to listen to the injector while the engine is running. Place the metal end on the injector and then place your ear on the plastic handle end. You should be able to hear the injector click. You can also compare this injector noise to the other injectors. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

Did you have the altenator replaced trying to correct this problem? Many times altenator probems will affect warning lights and gauges, at this point, most customers can't remember if the charge light was on because "all of the warning lights were on". Sometimes a faulty altenator can feed A/C current into the vehicles electrical system. I would be interested in the solution to this problem as soon as it is resolved...good luck.
