I live in Ohio and

The transmission pressure control solenoid? On the valve body inside the transmission pan. VB will need to be removed and all solenoids replaced ( the come as a set wired together). Will need some skill and experience to do this job successfully.

Electric door locks malfuntioning on

if they are self locking, there is a TSB at our site. However, it is likely one of the door lock actuators ($125) malfunctioning. usually the driver door. but try the TSB stuff first.

1998 Mercury Villager --- Had to change the front

did you drain coolant? If yes, you have trapped air.

Also, check the cable or wiring going to hot water valve on passenger side in one of the 2 heater hoses going into cowl.

I have a 1998 Mercury Villager and when the engine

do not ever change the knock sensor unless you have $600 to throw away for nothing. You need a new distributor. teh cam sensor is going. it's in the dist. & not serviceable.
Buy a Rich Porter reman on ebay for $200. They will run cold whent hey start to fail, tehn totally fail.

My 1998 Mercury Villager, is

If you follow top radiator hose back to the engine it's attached to a small housing. Beneath that housing is your thermostat. You'll need a new thermostat, gasket and coolant. Make sure you get a 192 or 195 degree thermostat. Any good parts store will be able to handle your needs

Won't start

tey spraying sarting fluid in the throttle body and see if it starts. If yes, the fuel pump is likely bad. Can you hear the pump run for 5 seconds in the tank when you turn the key to ON.

There is valve below the

it is a small O ring and can be replaced separately. It is a readily availbale o ring and takes about an hour to replace. Someone on our site did it recently. Hot engine coolant goes through the throttl body fo a couple of reasons.

check coolant level !

Check fan operation

Make sure both upper and lower rad hoses are hot , if not replace thermostat

Heating not working front and

you definitely have air trapped in the system. Got to a shop with evac/fill equipment and have them flush and fill System, $80.
