my 1997 lexus es 300 engine light and trac light on.

Defective horn
Defective clock spring

there are two large coolant hoses connected to your radiator. Follow the lowest hose to the engine which is connected to a pipe. The pipe is connected to an pipe-elbow. Behind the pipe-elbow you will find the thermostat. It is troublesome to replace due to the compressor and alternator that are in the way.

try this,after locking/unlocking with key,put key in ignition,turn it on to start/release then, whilst the key is still in,press the alarm button.if i remember right,this should do it....

my kids got into the car this morning (into the back) and a masive twang noise happened. now it feels like the back of the car has gone down slightly and everytime i go over a bump/pothole it makes a sound as though something has broke andy ideas as the kids are noe heavy so dont understand. help please?

Obviously the furst thing you need to make sure you have are the replacement lights

Step 1 Open the hood and unplug the HID power connector from the back of the headlight assembly

Step 2 Pull the protective rubber boot off the headlight housing.

Step 3 Squeeze the tabs on the wire clip that holds the headlight in place.

Step 4 Pull the headlight out of the back of the headlight housing assembly.

Step 5 Insert a new headlight.

Step 6 Secure the headlight with the factory wire clip.

Step 7 Replace the rubber boot.

Step 8 Plug the HID electrical connector back into the headlight.

You WON'T get the door panel off,,,,until you get the door open.

Check fuses for whatever doesn't work. Fuse box location and diagram should be in you owners manual. Make certain to note amps of EACH fuse and don't mix them up. The fuse that goes in MUST agree in amps with what fuse came out for each slot. Amps for each fuse should be stamped on fuse box next to each slot.

This will sound crazy but it has solved the problem more times than you would believe: give the dash board a and area around it a good wack with your fist. Often the connection to the light is what starts to fail not the bulb.

Check the fuse or a relay but check fuse for those seats first. This is usually the first problem start there.

It it sits for an extended period of time this could be due to bad gas (gas can go bad in as little as two weeks when left sitting); or it could be you have bad vale seals or other seals leaking slightly. This can only be determined by doing a good check out of the engine and systems.

EITHER YOU HAVE A DEAD BATTERY AND NEED TO REPLACE IT OR A BAD CONNECTION CHECK THE CONNECTIONS AT THE BATTERY AND DOWN TO THE STARTER. IF THE CAR TURNS OVER ALITTLE THEN TIS IS YOUR PROBLEM IF IT DOES NOT THEN YOU MAY HAVE A STARTER ISSUE
