He pinched the wire to the horn and it is going straight to ground. Take the battery out and get a flashlight to trace the wire from the horn to see where it is crimped.

It appears that there is a problem with your #4 cylinder. either no spark, or fuel. The other problem you have is with your EVAP system. Have you driven with your gas cap off or loose?

Code p0420 on 97 lexus

P0420 is catalyst below threshold. It is triggered via the rear o2 sensor (post cat), so you may want to check that sensor to make sure it's functioning properly.

Put new battery in 2001 Lexus 300ES. Now alarm

Dude, this worked with my GS300. Might help you.

Leave the key in 2nd position, in the steering column for at least 6 minutes. Then remove key. Re-insert key and maybe it will start with no alarm going off.

Where r spark plugs located

Take off the 8" x 11
' plastic cover on the top of engine. you will see 3 coils take them off and you can get to the 3 plugs. I recomend that you change one at a time and test drive each time before going to the next one.
If you follow the coil wires going to the back of the engine that's ware you find the other 3 plugs. good luck!

The oil light stays on

Have you checked the enfine oil dipstick to ensure the oil is at the correct level ? The oil pressure light comes when ther is insufficient oil pressure in the engine. If oil level is OK it could mean several things. They could be a clogged oil filter or a faulty oil pressure switch or worst case a faulty oil pump.

How to I correctly re-install

well all connections for the electrics should be outside the air pipes ,because how else can the assembly line workers do their job ,so it has to be simple .Now as for cleaning the butterfly ,well stop reading these so called workshop manuals and think that you have clean everything in sight ,well take it from someone who repairs cars every day and that is if it works ok leave well alone ,change the oil every 6000miles use the cheapest you can buy and change the oil filter every thrid oil change, auto box ?' dont touch for a TRANNY FLUSH ,it should run for ever till the brake bands wear out.Now as for your problem with the air flow valve ,the sensor part is on the inside of the pipe and the electrical plug on the outside ,so sleep on it then in the morning have your cofffee and a ciggy ,cough a bit then have another look and all will be revealed .How you managed to reconnect the sensor inside out i will never know ,Right service interval 6000 miles ,change oil ,check gearbox oil level with engine running in reverse and chocks under back wheels, inspect brake pads ,clean out air filter with a air line ,top up washers ,check plugs are withing 25/30th with no yellowing around the insulators.fuel filter?' dont kid me your gas station pumps do have filters inside them i hope so fuel filter should last life of car ,oil door hinges and the click bit on the end of the door with proper engine oil and not that silly spray ,check rasd and top up with neat antifreeze ,change antifreeze every five years or so .check the lights --all of them including fog light ,get assistant to wiggle steering for you and check ball joints ,jack up and use a crow bar to check track control joints ,take for a road test to the local cafe for tea and some grub ,and thats about it ,do not go looking for things to do untill it goes wrong and throw them sill haynes and chilten books in the back of the garage till you need to look at the pictures
