After the engine is warm
It's getting old--various gaskets could cause the leak--usually valve pan gasket (maybe at the back of it near firewall where you can't see) or main engine seal (engine must come out), or a camshaft seal.

It sounds like you have a weak alternator or you have a serious electrical issue. Have charging and starting systems checked.

I just took my '94
Pretty likely the repair your friend did will last quite a while if he joined it well. Problem with the Cherokees was that the door pillar isn't heavy enough to support the door and many of them cracked there. You are correct in thinking that to do a better job the pillar should be re-enforced. When I make that repair, I put a plate inside the pillar to reduce flexing. That is more involved and takes more time.
Anything you do now is after the fact and more difficult to re-do. Considering that you likely did not pay anywhere near what a more complicated repair would have cost and your door is now working,
best you can do is get some paint or undercoating on the new weld and later if it ever comes off again, then you can decide which method or repair you want done. (and can afford)
I've got a 93 that was welded the "wrong way" long before I got it and it's still in good shape!

Check for a trouble code stored in the computer memory by cycling the key on and off three times, then count the flashes. each code will be a 2 digit number (flash count for each numeral), then a pause inbetween to the next number. What are these codes if any?

How to replace fan belt.
loosen the belt by pulling on the belt tensioner
remove the belt remembering the way it goes around the pulleys
place the new belt on in the same routing the old one was
release pressure on the tensioner
and run the engine until warm
the belt will stretch and you will need to re adjust tension until about 1/24 of play is reached

Over filled transmission with fluid.
Hi!!
There is a pump just for that task, is called Siphon Pump, about $10 at most auto parts stores, just insert the suction hose in the transmission dipstick tube and pump excess fluid out. Make sure to wipe off all the remaining spilled fluid on the transmission and any other parts.
Good Luck!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.

Door hinge has come loose from body
Sounds like a door pin to me. If this is the case easiest way to do this is by a couple new ones.Have a buddy come over and help you. First open up the door and have your buddy hold it.
Next using a hammer and a small punch (or something similar) tap any remaining pins out (top one has to be pushed from the top down, bottom from the bottom up)
Then pull the door out enough that the hinges are apart and hammer out all the old bushings.
Then re-install in reverse order. I usually just use a pair of pliers and press in new bushings, get the door in place and tap in the pins (this time upper pin goes in from the bottom, bottom pin goes in from the top.
This is a pretty common thing since the top pin goes in from the bottom, when the bushings start to wear they no longer fit snug on the pin and the pin slides out.
Hope this helped you, let me know if this was in fact your problem, and please don't forget to rate this answer.

Anything is possible if you are willing to spend enough money. Driver's side airbag was standard equipment for Jeep Cherokee in 1994.

My 1994 Jeep Cherokee Country's engine cuts out
Only good hands on testing will give you a valid answer to that question. I'd pay special attention to fuel pump pressure (measured at the rail), cam, crank and throttle position sensors (and possibly map sensor).
Those are the items that are most likely to cause a shut-down...Others will make it run poorly.
Many of the larger parts outlets do code testing free. Have that done and see what comes up. At this point a code for O2 sensor should be ignored as that can often trigger when another more important one is out of range.
As I said, without testing I'm only making an educated guess, but I hope something here helps you.
Good luck!

My radio, dome lights and door locks are not
Check the driverside door area where the wires run thru the door. There will be a rubber boot covering them. Here, you may find the wire is frayed, broken or has pulled away from the connection.

I NEED ADVICE ON REPLACING
First take some pictures before disassemble the vehicle, pay attention to the areas where bolts are so you put the correct one back .
get some zip lock bags as you remove bolts and nuts put them in the bag and mark it (Example Rh Fender ) also the will need torx head tools for the bolts, screws, nuts.
You will need to remove
1) remove the bumper
2) remove center grill
3) remove header panel or front fiberglass panel. bolts on edges for this panel gets accessed bye removing the splash sheild to gain access to the back side of the header panel.
4) remove fenders and just reverse the procedure when reassembling
Good luck

Hello, i just bought a
find a similar car at a local junkyard, have them remove the overflow tank and sell it to you. you can do this over the phone though some junkyards actually have their inventory online. there are also scavengers selling parts on ebay and craigslist go look there for jeep parts.
