My 97 civc will start but won't go no where when I put it in first gear nor the rest of them what's the problem

Idle air control valve may be sticking. Remove the valve and clean it with some carb cleaner. Also clean the passages in the throttle body.

it depends if you a a d series or b or any other there's different series so u have to go according the type of engine you have

HL always work even keys in pocket, (USA rules) most have 2 fuse's check both fuses. some cars outside (mostly) USA have DRL, daylight running light option or manditory (canada) got DRL, that is the first question, they messup more often. and are more complex. at the least there is: 1: battery dead, does car start? you didnt say. 2: bad fuses. 3: bad HL relay 4: bad HL switch. 5: bad wires. yes, its and endless topic this and connnectors. bad.

its probably the combination switch on the steering column, as these vehicles don't have a relay for the headlights. The most common problem with the headlights are all the grounds that are used. Check all your headlight grounds, and if you still have a problem, its your combination switch.

I had the same problem with my 91' crx it would idle and have a low rev i adjusted my tranny cable located below the battery tray and accelerated and shifted fine afterwards

try a rover engine its the same if iam not mistaken .you could try taking the cars papers to the dealer ? is it the original engine or has it been changed at some stage

I have same car 1989 honda crx, what worked for car was I took the Idle Air Control Valve ( IACV ) off and cleaned it with carb cleaner. What you will need is a 12mm socket and only has two screws, and pliers to take off two small hoses attached to it.. And most important carb cleaner to clean the inside of IAVC. replace the ignition control module,I recommend a new one,if you order a rebuilt dist.it comes with a used one that only passed cold temp bench test they usually have problems once the car warms up. so get a new one!good luch let me know if you need more info have a good day DB

Check bulb first then wiring.

have u checked the ground wire to the battery to make sure that u are gaining a charge . if u are gaining a charge thru the battery then please check the battery cables

Sounds like you need to replace the Clutch. If it won't go while in gear it means your clutch is burned out.
