Alarm system going off while

The backup battery in the alarm module corrodes and 'bleeds' over the little circuit board inside the alarm and makes it go crazy. This module is on the passenger side under the front fender - sort of behind the headlight. I actually think it's easier to remove the headlight to get to it, but I think you can get to it by removing/bending the fender well plastic cover out of the way too. Google the alarm module, it could be easier to replace the entire thing than to repair yours.

Re 2003 - S60 -I

Get a hold of a Chiltons/Haynes repair manual for your car. It'll get step-by-step with diagrams on how to remove this part of your dash. As to accessibility of this particular part, I really have limited advise other than salvage yards or Volvo Corp. You can always check with JC Whitney and similar auto parts vendors.

Why does my 02 v0lv0 v70 xc have weak brakes

Hi, This sounds like the brake system needs bleeding if you know what your doing you can do this yourself. Should you not know what your doing the garage should be able to do this within 20-minutes so ne large bills to pay. Please leave me feedback, Malcolm Campbell.

Install driveshaft

all vehicles are similar. remove wheel, remove axle nut, remove tie rod ,remove lower ball joint ,pull spindal and rotor back pushing axle thru at same time, use pry bar to pop axle from tranny, reversal to install, push axle into tranny, pull spindal/rotor back install axle end into hole reset lower ball joint ,tie rod end. then most important TORQUE AXLE NUT TO PROPER SPECS if you dont you will ruin the wheel bearing. not fun to do in the driveway and sometimes all these parts are a real pain to remove even on a hoist with the proper tools so beware and for the love of life dont hammer on the end of the axle

Repair shop said steering pump expolded on our 2000 Volvo XC V 70

never heard of the pump exploding... bursting one of the high pressure lines is more likely. new belt afterwards? sure. new battery? dont see how it could have harmed the battery. new tie rod? no way did this damage a tie rod. replacing burst high pressure line 75.00 for parts replacing belt 15.00 for parts replacing power steering pump if needed no more than 150.00 for parts. thats 240.00 for parts... for the sake of argument lets double that for labor. 480.00 replace tie rod (in no way damaged by power steering pump) 35.00 to 125.00 depending on where you get it. installation cost about 75.00 (Tie rods can most often be adjusted to correct problem without having to replace them. now, new battery (probably not related to the burst line) anywhere from 40.00 to 200.00 from autozone with free installation.
