How to remove fuel filter?
Ask the dealer where your fuel power switch is located and turn it off. some turn off when you push them in. to turn it back on you push it in and it stays in. after you have located the fuel power switch and have turned it off, turn the engine on til it runs out of gas and turns off. it will run out of gas because you have turned the fuel pump powr off and the engine has burned the line fuel that went in to the engine. after the engine turns off, crank the engine for about 7 seconds. This will remove all the fuel pressure in the line. Your fuel filter will either be mounted under the car or on the engine fire wall. after you have located the fuel filter remove the two clamps (they may be metal or plastic) Take your time and watch how you remove them and you will reverse the order you used to remove the fuel filter clamps and fuel filter. It is a good idea to purchase new clamps with the replacement fuel filter and use them. Ask the dealer to explain how the clamp is removed and installed. He can demenstrate by illustrating it with the new clamps and fuel filter.

Where is the ecu located? 2000 Volvo S40
An engine control unit (ECU), also known as power-train control module (PCM), or engine control module (ECM) is a type of electronic control unit that determines the amount of fuel, ignition timing and other parameters an internal combustion engine needs to keep running. It does this by reading values from multidimensional performance maps (so called LUTs), using input values (e.g. engine speed) calculated from signals coming from sensor devices monitoring the engine.

The driver window will not go up OR down.
If the motor runs as you push the switch and keeps running till you stop the drive in the motor or the regulater has broken. You can try to manully close the window and then push the switch to see if it'll ingage. Opening the door by removing the door panel, work the switch to see what's not working. If you haven't worked on the interanl or car doors before at least get a manul to see the procedure and refer to the pictures as you can break it still further or hurt yourself inside the door.. Auto parts stores online sales catalogs will show you what the parts look like and how much they cost. Many Volvo's aren't covered very well at parts stores and you may have to get replacemnt patys on ebay to get a reasonable price. wreaking yards are spotty as these days they have to crush cars soon after they get them per enviromental laws.

I want code for my radio for my car volvo s40 2000
The only way to access this code is through your dealer, the stereo may have to be removed if the dealer cannot access the code using the vin (vehicle identification number) they will have to access the serial number located on the back of the stereo unit to get the code from Volvo. If you have the manual for the car look through it sometimes people write the stereo code on the inside cover.
