When my lights are on the brake lights do not work, they work when the lights are off

Only way to resolve this issue is to have a schematic available to trace where the hot line for your lights could be going over to the brake lights circuit and powering them on.

My hazard lights on my 2000 volvo s40 won't turn off please help pressed switch couple of times only turns off while you hold the button in

Sounds like a sticky/bad switch. You can try rapidly pressing the hazard button numerous times to see if switch will release. Usually it will. If not, you can pull the fuse for the hazards (location and identification in owners manual)

Why does 2000 s40 volvo turbo runs hot and the fan stays on after shut off

fans are designed to run on after you shut engine down as engine temperature rise after switching off . running hot could be caused by the top hose having gone soft when you rev the engine the water pump sucks the hose flat stopping the coolant flow or the radiator is blocked and need flushing out
