Light by the Gear shift is blinking

Is the arrow flashing? This indicates a fault in the gearbox. If it is solid the gearbox is in winter mode or 1st gear. Try manipulating the controls to see if this changes this condition. The blinking is telling you a code is stored in the computer. Take it to an auto-parts store and have it scanned most places do it for free. Then report back here with the code.

How do I fix the horn on my volvo?

Depending on what is wrong with this horn is the first step. I would check the fuse first off. Replace if needed. Then I would test the wires at the horn and make sure they complete a circuit. If that does not solve it it could be in the steering wheel which is a pretty good size job. Let me know if this solves it and we can go from there.

Where is the horn located on my volvo

The horn is located just behind the grille, there are two horns there. They are held in by 2 10mm bolts or Torx and the connector is a spring style. Just lift the hood and they will be right out in the open.

Volvo 850 radio removal

If you have the factory radio this should be easy. Look on the left and right side of the unit, you will see a narrow 2 inch long bar. With your fingernail or soft tipped object, press the center of the strip in until it clicks. Release the strip and it will pop out. Look at it from the side, it looks like what it is, a small handle. After both handles are out, take hold of them and slide out the unit. REMEMBER: There are wires connected to the back of the unit, so pull it out slowly.

Replace front corner light on 1997 Volvo S90

The side marker light comes out from under the hood. You have to push down on a release tab. You can see the tab if you look down directly over the headlight and slightly over to the outer side of the car. if you have the new lens, its easier to visualize

Can you blow a head gasket and not get any water in oil .what should cyclinder read on compression test

I can give you part of your answer: yes you can blow a head gasket and not get water in the oil. The pressure can leak in to the coolant system.I'm not sure what the pressure should be on your car but the difference shouldn't be very much.

95 volvo 850 drivers door inside wont open

got the panel off?, i'm gonna assume it's power not a hand crank and that you've also closely checked your fuses, the only thing left is maybe a wire has come off the contact or you've burnt out the switch and that may need to be replaced but I'm sure if you inspect and follow the wires it may lead you to a problem along those lines. If nothing is wrong with the wiring, it could be the switch itself I don't know either how to nail down the issue so you could find out, maybe use a battery with some wires and try touching the leads and just give it power and if the door unlocks then you know it is your switch. Good luck

Hi I have a 1995

Hello,

There is several things that can be going on if your engine light is coming on. Your engine light nomally will come on for several reasons for example. Low on oil, 02 sensor is going out which is part of your emissions, usely related to your Cadillac converter, oil pump or relay not operating correctly, fuel pump or fuel relay not operating correctly, charging system, like alternator, or battery not functioning proper. I can go on and on. best thing to figure out, is you should take it into AUTO ZONE, they have a hand held computer that they will hook directly up to your car and there computer should tell you what is going wrong to narrow it down, so you don't have to just start replacing parts and guessing. And Auto Zone will check it for free.

Now, in conclusion based on your brief description of it running good, but sounds empty, could be a oil pump issue, if this is the case, I would not wait to long to have this checked. You do not want to cause any damage, the engine light is also known as a idiot light, meaning it helps you fix the problem before it worsens. You asked if it fixable? I am sure it is, and reason for this is because you say engine still runs good, but I would asap, get it in and have them check to see what is wrong based on your warning of the check engine light. Thanks Mike from fixya.

Hi, Can anyone help please, I

Hi,

The code for this radio is 4 3 9 3

Please leave a vote to show this free solution is correct.

As I have limited capacity to share free codes - for others needing a code for a car radio - I recommend the site at this link. Cheapest on the net and I use them often for other radios that I repair so I can vouch for them as being cheap, fast and accurate.

Hope it helps. Thanks for using FixYa.

My 1995 volvo 850 turbo wagon has decided not to

Possible that the heater voltage is down or the glow plugs are bad. Also If the battery voltage is LOW then when there is drain on the glow plug the starter current will be low.
So check the terminals of the battery , check the starter motor. It is possible that a faulty starter motor will turn with more load than normally. This can be due to wearing of the bushes, brushes or pinion.
Also check the gravity on the battery. If low test with a jumper from another to confirm.
Finally check the fuel pressure, the injectors and pump timings. Get this calibrated.
