Volvo radio doesn't accept its own code

With a good battery in the car turn the ignition key to Position I. Do not put the key in position II. Make sure "OFF" is displayed. Let the car sit with the key in position I for about two hours. "CODE" will appear in the display. Enter your code.

"Jumpt"started 95 Volvo sedan 850 after head lights were left on but after we disconnected battery to look further into car, have all dash lights but car will not start at all. What could it be?

#1. Check the secondary cable which runs to your starter. #2. Check Starter Relay (unplug, and shake it - sometimes to can hear broken stuff inside of them) #3. Make sure your cables are tight, and your battery has a good charge. (was it trickle charged ? jumping and then turning the car off will not be enough charge for the battery ; you must charge to 100%) #4. Check all grounds.
