Depending on production date it's on the small display between speedo and tachometer, or on the radio/climate control display in centre console.

Take your custom elsewhere in future and write a letter of complaint to the Volvo importer/distributor in your country. This is the sort of customer service which usually ends up in a dealer having their franchise removed if enough owners complain.

Hi,

Its due to misinstalled radio or just a loose connection.

There's supposed to be a wire to a constant live 12V source to hold the radio memory.This wire is directly connected to the cars battery

If that wire is disconnected, then every time the radio power via the ignition switch AUX systems circuit is cut off, the memory will clear.
So in your case, there must me a loose connectionin the wire, Please try to check the connection of the wire, and if any loose conenction found, try to correct it.

Some people when wiring a new stereo just connect the main radio power and the radio memory power leads together to the car's aux power system. It doeesn't damage anything, but its annoying resetting everytime by itself

A car radio should have two power inputs one goes to the battery and is on all the time - this saves the settings, the other to the ignition switch, check the instructions and try to correct it.

You will have to remove the ignition barrel and look to replacing lock and barrell. I would stongly suggest using a specialist or main dealer as this is a complicated job.
