Where is fuel rail pressure sensor high input located on a mercury mountaineer

If you are talking about a trouble code for the pressure sensor, the sensor may be telling the computer the fuel pressure is too high. The sensor is mounted in the fuel rail on the engine.

I want 2 change 2004 mercury mountaineer transmission fluid

The best way to change it is to flush it out You can do it yourself, but I do not recommend. A shop that is good like a Monro or Firestone usually charges about 100 bucks to flush and that includes the fluid. If you do it yourself, you will save about 60 dollars, but you risk damage to your radiator.

you will need a hose and an adapter. you back out the lower, or upper cooler line for your trans, whichever is the easiest to get to, (Some trucks have an auxiliary engine oil cooler, but make sure you are flushing the trans lines) put the adapter into the rad where you removed the line, and put a hose from each one down into a bucket. Have about 14 qt's of ford trans fluid ready. Put the funnel into the trans dip stick, and start the engine. pour the qts into the dipstick tube while the old fluid is pumped into the bucket. When you have about two gallons pumped into the bucket shut the engine off and reattach the line into the radiator. start up the engine and check your level. Fill with additional fluid if needed.

note: some say you should drop the pan. two things, you only change half the fluid when you do it that way, and second if you need to change the filter because it is clogged, it is too late for the transmission. The filter is only there to protect the valve body, not keep the fluid clean.

Hope this helps

2004 mercury mountaineer starts ok but after a

It does not have anything about a fuel filter in the PCM Data Stream The fuel filter is a metal can with no wires attached If you changed the filter every 3 years & knew you did that, it would not be an issue (where is your maintenance log) Change your Spark Plugs --every 3 years Clean your MAF Sensor You have failed Oxygen Sensors-because you have no Preventative Maintenance Schedule O2 Sensors get replaced at 100,000 miles Why would you ask about which item to change first You repair the entire vehicle, all of it & all systems If you break two arms, you don't fix one today & the other next month or year You change nothing until you know what your doing & what any vehicle needs When a vehicle shuts off --that is Neglect-- pure & simple You drive it & do nothing or the shop you go to does nothing that is required & you do not know what was needed or done Have a shop set up a maintenance schedule for you & have them road test the vehicle with a scan tool to look at data Go along for the ride & learn something If you like, I will add more & even discuss vehicle maintenance, diagnostics & such, over the phone, if your totally lost I know the vehicle & I know what is going to fail next & has failed & why & all of it can be prevented on any vehicle No ---You have to work on all vehicles When they Do Work Okey Not just when they act up I am guessing you wasted your time for a free code read, asked no questions, wrote down no codes, did not give them to us or google the codes to see the system with a fault

Getting heat in the back of the car but not in the front.

I would take a closer look at the heater control valve located in line with heater core hose.it vacuum controlled to close coolant flow to heater core when a/c Is on.it's located by the radiator on passengers side.it has a black plastic lever on it, and the body it aluminum. The lever breaks internally, causing low coolant flow to heater core.remove and you will find white sludge build up. Replace and be on your way....
