I changed my headlight bulbs

Yes the light will handle the small amount extra current required by the Halogen bulbs. It is best of course to inspect the switch to see that it is on good shape, depending on the year of the car and the switch design used some do fail when the car is used for long periods of time with the lights on in slow speed traffic. If the switch has suffered overheating the contacts will be disclosed on the switch and the wire connector to it. If the contacts are in good condition they will be a bright brass color.

you don`t need to use a special timing light to check and set timing as the light doesn`t care the polarity of the system.i`ve used a 12 volt light on a 6 volt system just noticed the light wasn`t as bright.

Van does fine until you

You may want to do a basic tune up. Plugs, wires, cap&rotor, PCV, and don't forget the fuel filter. It is a forgoten, yet sometimes vital, part of a tune up. If you have already done this within a reasonable mileage, hit me up and we'll try to figure this thing out.

My 2006 mercury monterey has

They should turn right in and far enough to fit new pads easy, your caliper might be bad. I had similar problem on those turn in calipers had to replace them. They should be semi easy to turn and should turn without having to increase the pressure it takes to turn them. Only other thing is if they got opened up all the way some times you have to press in hard while turning to get them to start threading again.

Can't get brakes to bleed

Hi, did you follow the due process of bleeding the car brake? Maybe i should give you the proper guideline on how to bleed the brake which is below....

Fill the master cylinder with brake fluid before beginning. Jack the car up so that the two rear wheels are about six inches above the ground. Slide under the right rear wheel and look at the back of the brake system for a small bleed valve. A bleed valve is a hollow bolt. When loosened it will allow the brake fluid to flow out and result in the vehicle having no brakes.

Fit a rubber hose over the end of the bleed valve. Make sure it forms a tight seal and make sure the free end is below the level of fresh and clean brake fluid. As the brake fluid in the line pushes out of the system, you will see a bubble come from the end that is under fluid.

Have a helper sit in the driver's seat and follow your instructions. Tell your helper to pump the brakes hard a few times. Open the bleeder valve and tell your helper to press the brake pedal firmly down to the floor and hold it there until you indicate otherwise. Close the bleeder valve and have your helper release the brake pedal.

Repeat this process until you see a small bubble ejected from the tubing under the surface of the brake fluid in the jar. Once you have finished with this wheel, move to the left rear wheel. Before you begin the next wheel brake, refill the master cylinder reservoir. Get set up and repeat the same steps for this tire. The next two wheels you will bleed are the right front wheel and then the left front wheel.

Bleed the wheels in the order of the longest brake line first and then working towards the shortest brake line. Refill the master cylinder reservoir before beginning each new wheel. Once the rear brakes are finished, lower the car and jack up the front of the car. Remember to road test the brakes and make sure they operate well.

If you cannot still bleed the brake, then you need to get in touch with an Auto Mechanic to do the job....

Where do u add brake

You should see a round cylinder, usually with a white cap, in the top right hand corner of your engine compartment. That is where you add your break fluid. The cap may be black though. It is mounted on the firewall, which is the back of the engine.
