Intermittant starting
It is very possible that the contacts in the solenoid need to be replaced(Nippondenso). A friend had a caravan with similar problems and found some online from anywhere around 5 to 8 dollars each or kits as much as 20 to 25(plunger incl), alot better than a several hundred for a whole starter. please get back to me if you need further help after the starter is removed.
PO420 code for CR-V Honda 2002
p0420 is a catalytic converter efficiency code. It sets when thecm determines that the catalytic converter is no longer doing its job. The usual fix is to replace the catalytic converter.
An O.E. or an aftermarket direct fit converter from a reputable manufacturer is your best bet. Lesser quality brands will leave your pocket book lighter to start but will cause more problems than they solve. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at
