How do I shut off my alarm?

Getting into a car that has the security system by unlocking the door with the key will set the alarm off. Usually you can relock and unlock the door with the key and the alarm will be turned off. There are several things that can set off an alarm depending on the sensors, so do you have a remote key FOB and if so does it work. I am including a link to Honda Tech article that may help you out: http://honda-tech.com/honda-accord-1990-2002-2/how-disable-factory-security-system-1638886/

My car sputtering 1998 honda accord lx 2.3

Start with a routine tune-up. New air filter, new spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor button. Make sure the sparkplugs are gapped correctly before installing. Plug wires are less likely to go bad, so I would hold off on that.

Malfunction code P1167/P1162 my 98 ho da accord ex VTEC 2.3L stalls out when I come to a stop. Restating is not a problem, but every time I come to a stop it stalls. Idle drops and then stall's.

You may have 2 problems. The trouble codes are for an oxygen sensor fault. You likely have a bad oxygen sensor, but that usually won't cause a car to stall. If you're having issues at idle, look for vacuum leaks or possibly a very dirty throttle body.

How to reset a radio code

Usually this happens when the battery has been disconnected or replaced. Or it's a replacement Honda radio. The Honda radio requires a 5 digit code to reset. You will need the serial number of the radio. You may need to remove the radio to get that info. Take a cellphone picture of the serial # to have it handy. Once you have the number, call your local Honda dealer and ask for the parts department. They should be able to get you the code for the radio based on the serial #. if not, you may need to take the car in for them to get you the code .
