Where is fuel filter relay on 96 honda ferio
Not familiar with Honda Civics but I have never seen a relay or any other electrical component hooked to a fuel filter. The one for the fuel pump should be in the fuse panel normally under the hood. Usually identified on the cover or owners manual

Howtotroubleshoot distribution system on1996 hondacivic1.6l
Last one of these i did with this problem i found that it was ihe IGN Module inside the distributer.. When i saw the price of this module.. I looked for a used distributer.. Bought one on Ebay for $40. complete with cap and roter and modules.. Fixed the problem. Could be a coil or electricty not comning from Ign switch.. You will have to check all these things before spending the big money.. I think that Orilly Auto parts can check the module if you bring it to them.
Where is the fuel pump located on a 1996 japanese honda civic ferio ?
Fuel pump is in the top of your fuel tank.
Your fuel tank is under your back seat.
There may be a plate covering the pump access. Remove the screws and remove the plate. You will find the lines and cables entering the tank.
If you don't have a covering plate you have two options:
1. remove the tank from below (Very hard work.)
2. with a sharp chisel cut a hole about 8" in diameter in the very center hub under the seat. Be VERY careful to cut sideways and not straight down. Leave enough material so you can bend it back. Seal it with silicone once the job is done. MUCH MUCH easier than removing the tank.
My car cut off while i was driving
Civics are known to fail in two areas the main relay or ignitor.
1-First turn your Switch to ONII and check if your check engine light come on for two seconds and turn off, at the same time you need to hear the fuel pump priming. If you not hear the fuel pump the main relay is the culprit, if the CEL stay on retrieve the codes and start from there. The OEM MR is $60-65, eBay have the knock off for around $25.00
2- If the first part test fine, buy a spark tester or put a plug in the wire one. Have a friend crank the car and look for spark. If spark not present you have a bad ignitor. This ignitor is a little pricy OEM, The eBay units run for $25.00 but this are knock offs.
Hope this help

Misfires
there are 50 causes of misfire. (and flooding)
50
what we do is, conduct simple tests to find what is going on.
but first do that missed , 60,000 mile tune up, it might fix the problem
in FACT , tuneups are 100% designed to what, stop misfire.
my wild guess is it flooding.
are the spark tips (all) soaking in fuel , stalled?
thats one test, and is free, for any show with basic tools.
if you need more help tell
engines option and country.
gen 6 car. see quote below and why we dont know what's under your hood (your mech opens hood and goes, ahh, a............)

The sixth generation featured updated styling although less radical than previous redesigns. Suspension and engine options were available along with their first Natural Gas Powered Civic, the GX. From 1996-2000 the Civic was sold under the CX, DX, EX, EXR, HX, LX, and for Canada, SE, and Si trims; all base models were made with 1.6L engines. The EX-CX are all SOHC (Honda D engine). The CX, DX, and LX all have D16y7 non-VTEC engines; whereas the EX has a D16y8 VTEC, and the HX has D16y5 VTEC-E. The USDM Si and Canadian SiR came with a DOHC (B16A2 VTEC). The first civic SI coupe EM1 was introduced in 1999 until 2000. Europe saw a DOHC 1.6 VTI hatch and sedan and a DOHC 1.8VTI engine was available for the Domani related five-door liftback and estate..
No rpm smell gas
If you small gas on the spark plug, it's running rich. I would think your issue will be in your ignition. I would check the gap on the spark plug then check to see if it's getting a good spark. Then check your spark plug wires for cracks or corrosion on the terminals, and you can also use a DMM to check the resistance across the plug wire. Resistance should not exceed 0.3 oms. If that looks good then check your coil.
How to test the coil of a honda luxline 1996
this is covered in the FSM. factory service manual.
disconnect coil
there are 2 tests, ohm meter, and hot wiring.
no exact numbers as USA dont have luxlines.... nor that 1.5L , nor your smogless controls. on
D15Z4 engine.
1: check primary, it will be like (taught i school works on all gas cars)
the primary, is near 0.5 ohms. (varies by if IGN is low, med, or HEI energy levels, im clueless to luxlines.)
our 96 civic (USA) is 1/2 ohm primary.
and secondary is 22k to 33,000 ohms....
2: there is a live test. using a 12vdc battery, ill skip that is you will get shocked.. but is covered in school, the trick is to avoid infinite dwell.
if this DIZZY is a stand alone dizzy( how many pins are on the primary wiring connector?)
if stand alone it has what is called a VR pickup and an ignitor inside
you set the VR gap to spec, and the pick up amp, works, and fires
the egnitor, the ignitor is just a large transistor. it turns on, charges
the coil for "dwell spec" and the turns off, this turning off creates.
near 20,000 volts in the coils secondary.
if this is a ECU controlled spark system that is a whole other matter
if engine has a CMP and CKP sensor it is THAT system
and the ECU will tell you when they are bad, (blinking CEL lamp)
1996 honda civic ex automatic starts when the engine is cold but has a really hard time starting if the engine was just running
is it flooding the operators manual, (all cars) tells you what to do.
it tells you to crank wide open throttle, (bar stool, pedal to dah metal)
this activates super secret unflood mode by which the ECU cuts ALL fuel injections, start now and with cute black cloud at end of tail pipe>
that it was flooding.
the tests are no diff, from 1920 to now.
compresion good.? if it runs perfect ,most times, seems it is.
good spark? you check spark ? and then pulled all spark plugs.
are he soaking with fuel,or all black tips? ever do a tuneup this decade?
bad fueling, there are many tests for bad fueling. ask.
if engine is good.
the EGR not stuck open
the spark is good an all cylinders with good sparkplugs
then its bad fueling.
is the CEL lamp glowing key on,Yes.no
if yes good, if not The ecu has lost 12vdc power.
if yes, then attach any scan tool to near knees 16pin connector
crank engine for 5 seconds, got DTC errror as you release key./
yes , bingo
when you stop a car, hot the ECT reads 180F or more.
does it> if it reads say 50F, IT FILL FLOOD.
you can see the ECT just key on, with any scan tool, no need to start.
there are more. but this is a good start.(no pun)
1996 honda civic knocking in the engine /transmission
Knocking is produced due to the following reasons:
- Contaminated fuel.
- Restricted or purged fuel line.
- Fuel pump pressure too high.
- Clogged Fuel Injectors.
- Ignition timing too early.
- Wrong heat range and air gaps of the spark plugs.
- Excessive carbon accumulation in the combustion chamber.
- Knock sensor.
- Brake system.
