How do I get my windows to work window won't go up or down
The car power window operates with a 12 volt motor which turns clockwise or anti clockwise to push up or pull down the glass. Your battery cannot be dead, if it is, you will not be able to start the car because the power to turn the motor comes from this main battery. To isolate the problem, are all the windows not working or just one?. Have the engine running and test each wind at a time. If all are not working, most likely is the fuse for the power windows. If only one window is not working, then it is either the motor is faulty or the cable has snapped. Some cars do not use cable for their front doors, then in this case it will be the motor.
It is adviceable to have your engine running each time you want to wind up your windows as it requires more power. Opening windows require less power. Perform this tests first and get back to me if you still have problem.

The car is an automatic.
When you say the speedometer does not work, do you mean the needle is stuck at certain speed or is at zero all the time.. If it is at zero all the time, replace your meter. If it's stuck at certain speed, give it a knock with your fingers. And if that do not work, drill a pin hole with a fine drill just above the position where the needle is stuck and using a fine thin wire, push the needle back to zero position.
Ignition key will not turn
There seem to be two problems in your case. First thing first. Shift your steering wheel left or right to free the catch so your key will turn. Brake lights, mean the back lights or the red light indicator on your meter for the hand brake? Pease confirm!!
How do i replace alternator belt on 96 honda civic ex
1. Make sure you have a detailed description of the noise is concerned with, including whether the noise is occurring at idle or above idle speed (does it disappear above 1,200 rpm), and if the engine is cold, hot or both when the noise is occurring. These engines generate a lot of "normal" noises 2. Determine what environment is in when the noise is most noticeable to them (inside passenger compartment, next to building with/without the driver and/or passenger window open, or beside the wheel well). Validate by using your own perception. 3. Compare the noise generated with a new vehicle, if available, with an ENGINE build date of 3/30/2005 or later on Mustang and 4/18/2005 or later on F-150 to F-350, Expedition and Navigator vehicles. if the noise is the same, the noise is normal and would be a characteristic of the vehicle. Do not continue with this bulletin. 4. Diagnose noise when engine is at normal operating temperature. Verify oil temperature by using a diagnostic scan tool and monitoring the engine oil temperature. 5. Check the type of oil filter installed on the vehicle. A dirty or clogged filter may cause a pressure drop. Look for aftermarket brands not recognized in the market or a production filter that has gone beyond the standard Ford recommended change interval. 6. Check for signs of oil brand used and viscosity. www.careucar.com

Where is the fuel pump located on a 1996 japanese honda civic ferio ?
Fuel pump is in the top of your fuel tank.
Your fuel tank is under your back seat.
There may be a plate covering the pump access. Remove the screws and remove the plate. You will find the lines and cables entering the tank.
If you don't have a covering plate you have two options:
1. remove the tank from below (Very hard work.)
2. with a sharp chisel cut a hole about 8" in diameter in the very center hub under the seat. Be VERY careful to cut sideways and not straight down. Leave enough material so you can bend it back. Seal it with silicone once the job is done. MUCH MUCH easier than removing the tank.
1996 honda civic lx passanger power window problem
I had this problem as well as 33 others I've spoken to online. The main floor harness runs thru the drivers side front fender and plugs into the drivers door. The harness in 1996 civics are an inch or 2 too short so after a few years a few of the 25 thru 27 wires in the plug #C556 either break off or pull out of the plug. Since the drivers door contains the master power window and lock switches and the power mirrors can also be affected it can seem like everyones problems are in different parts of the car but they are all part of the same default. So I went to ebay and purchased a floor harness with full power options and installed it myself. Until my part came in I just went to a junk yard and cut off a good plug then spliced it into my existing floor harness. Hope this helps. It took me 4 months to figure this problem out!!!
