My 93 acura vigor keeps melting my distributor cap what can be the problem?

Are any internal distributor parts damaged? Are they all in good working order? If not, something external to the cap is melting the distributor cap, although that item should be able to withstand NORMAL temperature operations under the hood.

Where is blower resistor

under you hood on the passenger side of the car it will be on the heater box. It will be to the right of the blower motor. Two wires going to it. The best way to check it is with an ohm meter. If you have current going throw it it is fine but if you dont it will need to be replaced.

How can i get to the fuel pump on a 92 a

  • REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
  • Print The fuel pump on all models except the 1986-90 Integra, is located in the fuel tank. On the 1986-90 Integra the fuel pump is located under the rear of the vehicle, near the drivers side of the fuel tank.

PRESSURE TESTING See Figure 1 On all models, the fuel pump should run for about 2 seconds when the ignition is first turned ON . By removing the filler cap and listening at the filler, it should be possible to hear the pump run each time the ignition is switched ON . It will then stop again until the starter is activated. 0900c1528004984f.jpg enlarge_icon.gifenlarge_tooltip.gif

Fig. Fig. 1: Checking the fuel system pressure

    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the fuel filler cap.
    2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
    3. Remove the service bolt and attach a fuel pressure gauge to the top of the fuel filter.
    4. Start the engine and measure the fuel pressure with the engine idling and vacuum hose to the pressure regulator disconnected;
    1986-1989 Integra-35-41 psi. (240-279 kPa) 1990-93 Integra-37-44 psi. (255-304 kPa) 1989-90 Legend-36-41 psi. (250-279 kPa) 1991-93 Legend-38-46 psi. (265-314 kPa) Vigor-43-50 psi. (300-350 kPa)
    1. Check to see that the pressure decreases when the vacuum hose is connected.
    2. If the pressure is higher than specifications, check for a pinched or clogged fuel return hose or faulty pressure regulator.
    3. If the pressure is lower than specifications, check for a clogged filter, defective pressure regulator or leakage in the fuel line.
    4. After inspection, remove the pressure gauge and install the service bolt with a new washer.

    REMOVAL & INSTALLATION1986-1989 Integra

    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
    3. Raise and safely support the vehicle and remove the left rear wheel.
    4. Remove the fuel pump cover bolts and the cover.
    5. Remove the fuel pump mount bolts and the fuel pump with it's mount.
    6. Disconnect the fuel hoses and the electrical connectors.
    7. Installation is the reverse of removal. Use new sealing washers when connecting the fuel hoses. After the pump is installed, turn the ignition switch ON and OFF a number of times to pressurize the system and check for leaks.
1990-93 Integra and Vigor See Figures 2 and 3
    1. On Integra, remove the rear seat and access panel and disconnect the wiring.
    2. Remove the fuel tank.
    3. Remove the pump flange mounting nuts and lift the pump out.
    4. Installation is the reverse of removal. Use new sealing washers when connecting the fuel hoses. After the pump is installed, turn the ignition switch ON and OFF a number of times to pressurize the system and check for leaks.

Bought a 1992 acura vigor and found horn fuse missing. when I replaced the fuse alarm goes off and constantly sounds. how do I stop it? I've read that there's a relay somewhere under the hood

horn relay located on the right side kick panel, you will see a row of relays,if horn relay is okay, more likely your horn control pad has a short inside causing horn button contacts to stick causing horn to keep blowing.
