I don't know your car model but check the tail light lens is not full of water check the wires - what colours are the tail lights . Check the wiring loom going through the boot to the passenger compartment under back seat and under the carpet for exposed wires. Has the car had any crash in the back ? the wires going to other side tail light may have been crushed inside the back car panel

The ticking you hear is probably the Turn/Hazard Flasher Mounted to the convenience center, under the left side of the IP, to the left side of the steering column, on the bulkhead . The only way the alternator would kill a battery is by over charging , you would need to hook up a voltmeter to the battery an see how much it's charging . 15 volts or over is too much . GM used different anti theft systems if your key wasn't programed. You need to look up how to program your keys. There are also working fixes to disable this. I just got a 05 Buick without a programed key and has the wiring fix. I can't get the key to program for my car but I may have done the wrong programing.

4WD actuator can fail and cause this.

You may have plugged the filter. The fuel pump may have gone bad from the empty tank. You my have not ran out of gas, but assumed you did because the fuel pump quit.You may want to have the pressure tested.

the compressor will cycle on/off when the cabin temperature is reached the larger pipe will be cold to touch as it is the suction line for the compressor if you have a problem with the ac ,it will not work the compressor at all and the lines will not get cold When in doubt take it to an accredited ac specialist shop and have the system check out.

often times little glitches like that can b fixed by reseting the computer on most make and models forign or domestic USUALY simpley disconecting ground wire from battery and then depress brake pedel or turn ignition to on position for 3-5 seconds .that discharges capisitors in the computer wich hold voltage to retain memory in computor...take away the computors memory and wen you give it back power it boots up in default mode restoreing everything back to normal.includeing the vehicle security system.the problem your haveing usualy follows a aftermarket stereo installition by a unqualified individual.

Have you checked for correct fuel pressure? Most parts stores have a loan-a-tool fuel pressure gauge kit, and if you remove the plastic engine cover you will find a fuel rail port to attach the tester. Just because you replaced with new pump, don't assume it is good. Many cheap aftermarket pumps are noisy and fail often. If pressure is good, insure you have spark to the plugs.

Disconnect neg battery terminal take column apart and look for melted wires and what caused them to melt.
