Did You Try Changing The Water Pump? Make Sure The Radiator Fan Is Working.

Possible there is a fuel lock and so it is needed to open the fuel pipe a the pump end and crank the engine so that the pump will push up the fuel to release from the locked air.
Please hold a bottle to the pipe end so as not to spill the fuel into the engine. Once the flow is good you can connect the fuel pipe and the engine will come to life.
Some times blowing into the fuel tap after removing the cap will also help to assist the fuel pump..

There is no fuse for that, open the trunk and pull on the cable going to the fuel tank lid.

It does sound like some of the engine cylinders are filling up with water (hydro-locking). Head gasket issues are common with these engines. The no.1 cause of it is from not using the coolant pellets suggested by mfr. Green antifreeze is too strong for the aluminum engine and slowly eats away at the gasket seals.

coolant leaking into engine probably blown head gaskets. More damage will occur the more you drive it. Unfortunate and expensive repair on a northstar.

I believe you are referring to the trunk assist motor that closes the trunk? A voltmeter is handy on this one to check when turning the switch if you are getting voltage at the terminals on the motor. If there is no power then there could be bad wiring or the switch may be bad or just need cleaning on its contacts. Check if you have the antenna working. The motor for the trunk and the antenna share the same relay, If both is not working then you have a bad relay although there are instances when only one will not work but its a good place to check. The relay is in the trunk near the antenna.
You may also test the motor by directly connecting it to the battery. It is possible that it is a bad motor.

Hello: Carefully take a 1/4 inch flat bladed 6in. screwdriver and gently go under the switch plate (you might put a shop rag on top of the door panel under the screw driver to keep from damaging the panel, push in and pry up at the same time and the switch plate should pop up in the front then pull straight up and it should come up.

i would have the head gaskets replaced, this way , you know that there won't be any more leaks, and sometimes , using the sealer, might not work as good as you need it too.
