fuse panel label heater . check power at fan plug. maybe fan bad or fanswitch

check for bad ground on fuel pump and check your fuses

Two things that can cause this not to work. A faulty sensor or a faulty cooling fan itself. As a first course of action please test the fan by tapping it to the battery and check if it will work. If it does, then the proble will be on the sensor.

You will need to find the codes that the car is getting. You can do this by entering diagnostics on the dash.
1. Turn the ignition switch ON. [Bruce notes: interestingly, the engine can be on or off]
2. On the cars up to 1995, on the Climate Control panel, press the OFF and WARM buttons simultaneously.

• E -- ECM trouble code
• P -- PCM trouble code
• C -- Current trouble code
• H -- History trouble code
• NO X CODE -- No code present (X represents the system)
• NO X DATA -- Communication lines are not operating (X represents the system)

You first need to retrieve the codes.This can be done by pressing the off and warmer buttons simultaneously.When all the dash lights light up let go off the buttons.The on board system will start giving you all the codes that are on all the modules.First the pcm,ipc,acp,sir,tcs,and rss.Write down the codes for the rss module.It will also give you codes for the low freon.U sually a 46 or 47.The rss module codes will be so10 to so 80.Usually a bad strut.You can not get the ride control struts anymore.Even at the dealership.There is a bulletin for replacing these struts with regular struts and reprogramming the pcm.This has to be done with a scan tool from the dealership.If this is not reprogrammed the service ride control light will stay on after the replacement of the struts.Both front and rear have to be replaced.There is also a harness that has to be replaced.The freon code is usually a leak in the system which is usually the evaporator core and the compressor shaft seal.All of these jobs are costly repairs.Hope this helps.Let me know if you have any more questions.Good luck.

this is an ugly job and has many hard to get replacement, fragile pieces. Consider having a qualified shop do this job, it is really difficult.

Go around the car to the passenger side, and insert the rounded door key in the door, then lock and then unlock the door with the key. This should disable the anti-theft system. This also will shut off the horn blowing when the alarm is tripped. This works on all older Cadlillacs. Hope this helps.

Hello: If the engine is a 4.9, The coolant sensor is located next to where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine on top. If the engine is a Northstar the coolant sensor is on the drivers side of the engine below where the two heater hoses connect to the engine.

Not too bad, less than an hour of shop time. Bet not a sensor issue....Northstar engine? Check for exhaust in cooling system, if so Really bad news.

there are 2 fuses for the cooling fans both under the hood 50 amp in thr rh maxi fuse block the other one is in the engine compartment a 10 amp there are 3 relays that control the fans. the relays are either located in the left foward part of the engine compartment or on the bottom of the radiator to identify the relays i would have the fans running and disconnect to see the cooling fans are controlled by the pcm. the pcm gets temp input from the coolant sensor all three will be located together.

Well, the most common problem with alternators that I have had in my life has been with alternators that were not lifetime warrantied. If you buy a 1 year warranted alternator, it's likely that the parts inside are inferior to the lifetime warrantied alternators in the aftermarket stores such as Autozone, Advance Auto, Pep Boys, etc.

So, I would recommend that you make sure that you buy a lifetime warrantied part and that should last a very long time, several years in my case per car that I purchased the alternator for.

This also applies to starter motors and other parts for your car.

If you buy a lifetime warrantied alternator and it still goes bad, then there's something in the usage of it, like high miles or lots of accessories being used all of the operational time, that is causing the brushes to wear out prematurely.

you will have to go to auto parts stor. buy replacement line and make new line also get new fittings. or you might can get a used line from a salvage yard CADILLAC PARTS DOES NOT HAVE REPLACEMENT LINES

tHE THROTTLE BODY MAY BE DIRTY. GET A CAN OF CARBERATOR CLEANER REMOVE RUBBER TUBE ATTACHED TO TOP OF ENGINE ON DRIVERS SIDE SPRAY CLEANER ON CLEAN RAG OPEN THE THROTTLE PLATE BY HAND REMOVE ALL BLACK CARBON BUILD UP FROM INSIDE OF THROTTLE BORE ANB ON THE PLATE TUN KEY ON THEN OFF 3 TIMES THIS MAY REPAIR THE PROBLEM

possible cat converter stopped up need back pressure gage to very or drop the exhaust or have someone accelerate the engine and you listen to the exhaust at the tailpipe at rear of caqr if you hear a hissing noise thats a pretty good indicator

the flasher unit may be faulty you will find it under the dash on the drivers side it could be a cylinder or square unit about 2" long with a connector plug on the top.....hope this helps.....cheers

The ABS and traction control system are the same system, when the light came on it means the ABS/Trac control module has sensed a fault in the system, that can be one of the many components or the wiring or the hydraulic control unit, in order to find out what has failed the ABS module needs to be tested for a fault code that is stored when the light is turned on, the dealer has the scanner to do this test.

I have a 1994 Cadillac Eldorado and every time i start it the car has rough Idle and the Idle fluctuate's. I also can feel it in the gas pedal when the car is doing this I tried replacing the throttle body sensor but it still does it I also was told it was the Idle error sensor. So instead of spending the unecessary money again I thought I would go online and see if anyone could help me with this problem.

Pull off the EGR valve and cea the carbon off of it next put a hose on the vac port on the egr and **** on the tube does the egr pintal valve open up? if yes then te egr valve is working, once the egr valve is open put the tip of your toung on the hose and see if it stays open if it does not then the EGR valve is defective. Aslo the fuel trim is affected by EGR vavle hope this helps and thanks for using fixya
