Have a code po26 code

This code means that either the throttle position switch, or its wiring is shorted. So the system should be inspected and tested to see whether the problem is in the switch or the wiring. When the short is found it should be repaired, or the defective part replaced.

BATTERY IS DRAINING EVEN WHILE CAR IS NOT IN USE

I stated "such as a light " there are many, many other causes of 12 volt drains such as a seat switch that might hang up and stick. Empty that battery overnight. First install a 9V Battery Radio memory / and clock or you will have to reset both. Disconnect BLACK negative cable of battery. Using a 12V testlight, connect one end to the disconnected cable, and the other to the negative battery terinal. It should light. Remove the 20A BODY and LIGHTER fuse first . This will eliminate the courtesy light circuit . If light goes off the drain is on that circuit. STILL LIT ? drain is on another circuit. Start by eliminating fuses. Hope this helps.

How do i change the starter

3 bolts hold and align starter with the flywheel of your transmission...be sure to disconnect a battery terminal first to eliminate sparks...starter/solenoid is one piece, try looking at one at your auto parts store first...Hope this helps.

this sure sounds as if your belt tensioner is worn out and not putting enough force into belt to keep it on the pulleys , also look (eye's only) at all the pulleys when engine running (carefull!!) see if any wobble or don't seem to round if there bad it will be obvious

Because you have a system fault in the ride control !!

Turn on my wipers try to spray wwasher on winshield nothing happens ....what could be wrong?

A few possiblities. Lets start with the cheapest first. Washer fluid, could be low, I'd check it first. When you press the spray button you should be able to hear the pump turn on (usually ON the washer reservoir). If it turns on you probably have a leak or blocked line. If you don't hear it cut on I'd check your fuses and then check to see if it's getting power to the plug with a multi-meter or test light. If it's getting power and not cutting on then it's probably the washer pump. Hope this helps.

Need help on how to replace a evaporator on 1995 cadilla deville

Replacing the AC evaporator is a job best left to a service shop. It will involve recovering the refrigerant, cleaning the system and ports, checking sensors, checking the system for leaks and recharging the system.

How to install water pump ?

Hello there, fellow tinkerer-- Which part of the process for installing the water pump did you need help with? I can walk you through whatever area you are concerned about. It seems like a big task, but it's actually pretty straight forward once you have the parts and tools needed. To more easily access the water pump, I removed my power steering pulley and pump, setting them and the rented pulley puller tool aside in a safe location that would ensure I didn't lose any parts. I used CLEAN, unused, small, but very solid segments of sponge to plug any dripping lines once they were separated from their usual connections. I also removed the radiator overflow container and the cars battery so I had some wiggle room. Removing the battery is also a safety practice. Just to be on the safe side of matters, I always detach the negative battery cable prior to working on an engine, but because of the tight quarters you'll be working in, removing the battery provides safety and much needed additional space to maneuver. Being that you'll be pulling the old pump out, there will be a certain amount of time during the procedure when water and antifreeze can escape. I used a low-sided Rubbermaid container, lined it with a trash bag, and stood You'll need a torque wrench and the correct sized sockets, a putty knife, razor, a tube of Permatex RTV: http://www.autozone.com/sealants-glues-adhesives-and-tape/rtv-adhesive/permatex-water-pump-and-thermostat-rtv-silicone-gasket/516195_0_0/, the replacement pump and associated gasket, and a good lot of patience. I'm including a very simplified 'how to' link http://asc-ind.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Cadillac-Water-Pump-Installation.pdf Note, carefully, the cautionary statement about those two bolts on the outer edge of the pump (a bit high up on the right hand side). Unless you want to learn about your car's timing in a crash course situation, do not remove those two bolts. Let me know if you're needing any more help with this project. I'd be more than happy to help in any way I can.

After changing alternator in 95 cadillac deville the heat doesnt blow at all

The alternator does not have anything to do with the blower fan for heat. You may have unhooked a wire by mistake, or you have a blown fuse. God-Bless!
