Turn signals quit working. Sometimes they do.

the year you have Cadillac had a problem with the soldered on the bulbs contacts. they would get very hot and melt down far enough were no contact was made. All you can do is to replace the bulb with a new style bulb recommended by your LOCAL Cadillac dealerships parts department

Overheating

Overheating can be caused by several things including low/no coolant, blocked/broken hose, faulty water pump, stuck thermostat. CHeck the coolant level in the over flow tank and in the radiator itself. If it's low you know you have a leak somewhere. If it's full you know the coolant isn't circulating through the system.

Let the car run until it heats up then feel the upper and lower hoses on the radiator, they should both be hot and firm when the coolant is circulating. If the top is hot and the bottom is cool and pliable then you know the coolant isn't going through. The most common cause of this is a thermostat that isn't opening. Look to make sure the water pump is operating properly, that's what circulates the water through the motor.

If you suspect a leak then you need to find where it's coming from. Check around the head/intake gaskets for signs of leakage as well as around the side tanks on the radiator and all hoses and connections.

Start with the small/obvious things first and progress from there. Good luck.

How do you put on a serpentine belt

You may have to reomve some plastic to reveal the belt route and tensioner. You look at how it is, draw a pic or take a pic and then use a socket wrench and a small piece of pipe and insert it into the belt tensioner and use light leverage to compress the tensioner and release the belt tension. Then remove the belt and replace it, routing it through the same way via pic. Some cars have belt routing in engine bay to guide you. Good luck!

The lite says sevices road controal

U mean "service ride control" is being displayed on the digital part of the dash cluster. It means one or both of your front struts or rear shocks could be bad. Just keep hitting that info button to clear the message until u can afford to take a $800 hit for just one. But u never know, u could get lucky and it may just b a wire(not likely).

OK this has been stumping

When you say the brakes go out what do you mean? Is it like the car is not running, you can stop but have to push really hard? Its hard to believe both as they are 2 unrelated systems. I would lean towards the wheel sensore for the brakes but as far as the power steering your pump is mechanical/hydraulic and a puddle would not physically affect its performance so would have to be somehing causing the belt to slip to the pump and drys after min or so and gets grip.
