Unless you have a totally stripped-down Eldorado, your speedometer is most likely ELECTRONIC (probably even has a digital readout). Check your Trip Computer. Has it stopped reading fuel economy, distance to empty, etc.? Is your odometer also not adding miles as you drive? If affirmative to all of the above, replace your SPEED SENSOR, and you'll be all set :)

maybe you have a blown head gasket your leaking head gasket when ur car is cold open your radiator cap see if the coolant in it try to tap up coolant until the neck of your radiator then start your engine and observe the radiator neck if the collant puks it out if your coolant is pukking out meaning you have a leak or blown head gasket and thats the cuz of your overheating

Behind the dash are tubes that carry the hot air to the different vents. When you select dash output, the buttons send an electric signal to motors to open flaps in these tubes. The buttons are lit, so they have sent the signal, it hasnt reached the motors or the motors are not turning the flaps, so the air does not get routed to the dash. That is what is wrong

Code 71 is for a problem with the ambient air temp sensor, if your car has one. The computer uses the sensor to measure outside air temp and regulate fuel mixture.I would check to see if it has such a sensor, and also check fuel pressure.
