Did you try to resync by standing about 5 feet away with doors closed. Hold the lock and unlock buttons for up to ten seconds. The locks should cycle when the remote is synced.

which fluid are you trying to check..i am assume its the trans fluid,,on most GM cars there is a red cap on top of the trans,,if it is,,take the cap off and start the car stick a long funnel into the hole and pour the trans fliud in till it runs out..after that put the cap back on and you are good to go

hi this could be a few things the throttle position sensor is the more likely if it is closed to much then the fule air mix will be wrong obviously when you speed up it opens enough to let the correct amount of fuel and air in if you have no engine light on, on the dashboard then it just might be a case of cleaning it, also idle valve, these do tend to coke up allot so you could try cleaning this brake cleaner is a very good medium for doing both jobs i cant see it being an electrical fault it would just happen all the time you wouldn't get the engine/motor running if this was the case, but there is a couple of things to start you off with, obviously come back and post if more help is needed....hope this helps you

it should come out near the firewall under the dash (just guessing)

There is a tool called a crow foot bar, you need one to remove the seal, it allows you to grip and pull the seal out, most parts stores have them in varing sizes, you need a medium size bar.

Are you sure the engine is not grounded? Could be the starter relay. To make sure it is not a ground problem use a battery jumper cable and connect the engine to the negative battery post. Also make sure the battery did not lose its charge while working on the belt. Possible key left on.
