The digital cluster is not working for the gas gauge and the heater and a/c. The heater nor the a/c is working. It is on a 1989 cadillac deville front wheel drive. Also is there a site i could go to to download a manual.
I had same problem with my 89 cad. deville , I changed the BCM and since then no problems and everything works great now for over a year

When I start the vehicle (1991 Cadillac Deville), the Digital Fuel Data Center and the Electronic Climate Control are showing a small 'c' in the display and nothing else. The fuel center doesn't give any fuel information. The Electronic Climate Control can't be operated either. The blower for the Heat/AC is running on high and directed to the defrost on top of the dash.
Every now and then while driving, both start to work for a short time and then stop again.
This is defenetly the BCM, I had a 1990 with all of the same problems. Buy a rebuilt and install it behind the clove box. Remember that you must install you memory prom into the new unit as they don't come with any in them (it is what is memorizing your miles driven.) You will get off pretty easy on this one as they are available and not too expensive.

My 94 Astro (v-6 vortec) hesitates when accellerating. If accellerator is slowly pushed, no problem. The quicker you do, the more severe the initial hesitation. If the motor doesn't stall it will "catch up" and run just fine afterword. I've replaced wires, plugs, cap, rotor, and MAP sensor with no difference in hesitation. Whether it's hot, warm, or cold it still does it.
My 1996 Astro does the same thing... It has new fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, maf sensor, ignition coil, alt., battery, cat converter, im stumped...

there is a fuse box located on the passenger side-but no diagram.not sure what these fuses are for. cadillac deville 1989
The turn signal flasher is located under the dash to the right of the
steering column on most models. The hazard flasher is under the dash,
to the left of the steering column. On 1980 and later models, both the
turn signal flasher and the hazard flasher are located at the lower
left hand and the upper right hand corners of the fuse block
respectively. There is an inline fuse for the underhood/spotlamp
circuit. The fuse box is marked to indicate fuse size and the
circuit(s) protected.

my 1989 cadillac deville parking brake is engaged and will not release when i put it in gear...
there is a manual release on the park brake assembly I think yellow tip lever. The unit releaases automatic by vaccum, if there is vaccum to the release vaccum solenoid but it doesn't release you need a new solenoid

replace fuel pump 1989 cadillac deville
Hello, The fuel pump is inside the gas tank. Remove the exhaust, Disconnect and remove all hoses and lines, also disconnect all electrical wires, remove 4 bolts from straps holding tank. Drop tank down. Remove lines and hoses from top of fuel pump module, remove lock ring, pull fuel pump module, turn unit as necessary so you don't destroy the fuel level sender. Hope this helps
