IF the car cranks over but doesn't start you need to see if you have Spark and Fuel. IF it doesn't crank, check starter and related circuit, tapping on starter will sometimes help to get it rotating. Check all fuses, and make sure battery terminals are clean and tight. Have someone or yourself connect a scanner DTC reader and see if you have any engine computer faults. If manual transmission make sure your clutch pedal switch is not missing the bushing. Aftermarket alarms can cause no starts also, but usually a "no-crank" situation.

That code means you have an improper fuel/air mixture. You a probably noticing a loss of power or performance, even more so when climbing hills or accelerating. Possible reasons for this can include, improper fuel pressure, a clog in the air intake (very rare), and/ or a faulty MAF/MAP sensor. (Mass Air Flow/Mass Air Pressure)
Usually improper fuel pressure will keep the vehicle from running or idling entirely, so most likely you have a problem with your sensor. Replacement of such, is extremely easy, as it involves no more than a screwdriver, but is usually an expensive part.

Just because the gauges say every thing is ok does nor mean any thing take it to a shop and have them put it on a scanner there is a reason the light is on probably a sensor they can tell you which one it is usually an oxygen sensor

What has happened on some of them is the hydraulic tensioner on the timing belt goes out, when the engine is running the belt bounces nicely to the rhythm of the engine causing a knock. Take a peek in the timing cover and make sure the timing belt is tight on the tensioner side. Hope this helps. Sam

try changing the lambada sensor or the O2 sensor as it may be called in your neck of the woods ,i think this will solve your problem check that it doesnt have two sensors one before the cat and one after ,If iam correct it should go out on its own then ,Or check them with a automotive meter ??

Code P0401 indicates insufficient EGR flow. It's quite common on this model. The solution involves removing the upper intake manifold and cleaning the EGR passage.

I can usually find belt routings at this Dayco website, but can't find SLX. Take a look yourself?

theres probably a short in the computer system of the car. gotta get the codes reset especially if the car alarm isn't stock

Here are the instructions to test the braking switch and related components to locate the fault. Brake Pedal Position Switch Test 1.) Disconnect the 4P connector from the switch (A). 2.) Remove the brake pedal position switch. 3.) Check for continuity between the terminals according to the table, using a multimeter. 4.) If the continuity is not as specified, replace the brake pedal position switch and adjust the pedal height. 5.) If OK, install the brake pedal position switch and adjust the pedal height.
