testing 1,2,3 , seems to me park lockout is dead. can you step on the brake pedal key on, and shift all gears PRNDL? do head lamps work key on and off are all fuses good is the battery dead or super weak. below 10vdc, most electronics modules in the car fail (8 to10vdc is the range of *****)most cars. for get keys out for now ,make sure all things on the car work keyin and keyed to on. and cranking works, in Park or neutral if cranking is dead ,we next Jumper cable start the cars engine. or charge the battery even load test it in the autostore or shop you post , no tests done seems to be a dead battery main so charge it. or jump it.

Check the truck seal.

Try it on the other side to see if it is the light or the socket that is the problem. If it's the socket, make sure the ground is working. Use a voltmeter to see if you have power at the contact point. Think of it as having fun. You'll get it.

Many cars set this lamp as a result of reaching a certain number of miles that clock in on the odometer. It usually means you've reached a particular service interval - often a "major" one.. Other times, it can be the result of detecting a malfunctioning sub-system or sensor that needs attention. Your mechanic (possible autoparts store) can usually scan the computer to determine exactly what the cause is.

If the rack itself is leaking, usually fluid is coming out of the bellows, because the shaft seals are leaking. These can be resealed, but finding a shop with the ability outside an Acura dealer might be hard. Rebuilt racks are available thru Acura and aftermarket, I found 1 for $486.95. Look around you may find something more reasonable. This will require an alignment, you may have to replace 1 or both tie rod ends. Make sure your RL is in condition to do an alignment so you don't get any surprises. On a vehicle this old, if it hasn't been done, the return line hose from the reservoir to the pump should be replaced. Make sure all the hoses are inspected and good.

If it is leaking from the rack, replace or re-seal the rack.

Flushing is not recommended, unless there is contamination. A drain and fill, by unscrewing the radiator drain, is the norm.

Most likely your cv (drive) axle. Check to see if the boot is torn, which lets out most of the grease and lets in debris and water. Replace if so, I recommend buying new (not rebuilt), the price difference isn't much if you shop around. Putting a new boot on isn't going to get rid of the noise.

I would suspect the IAC ( Idle Air Control) module first. The computer should have a code stored that would prove/disprove my suspicions, and a scan can be done cheaply. Autozone will scan and retrieve your codes free, if you have one close by.

just it or the ODOMETER TOO? in the USA? is the CEL warning lamp engine light glow, key on then go off, when running the engine and driving ? (Y/N) if CEL is stuck on, and you scan it and it shows VSS is dead then that is a top clue (big) why?

Acura 3 5RL Trouble Code Info Basically your whole engine is misfiring. BUT!! IS it running rough? What is it doing? I would replace your spark plugs first and check the gap. Clean your EGR valve and the hose running to it. One of those codes is about your EGR valve. Check out the first link I posted in this to see what your codes mean. If this doesn't fix it, you may have a coil problem . You can pick those up at a junk yard pretty cheaply. When you check the coils, make sure there is no gap in the stick. Half way up you will see a small skinny seam. It should be almost imperceptible if they are good. Also, there is this handy dandy sensor: Called a Ignition Misfire Sensor. Half way up the stick you may see that seam I was telling you about. So, make sure you get the tightest gap you can if you go that route.

look in your glove box on the left side. there should be a five digit number above a ten digit number on a sticker. if it isn't there, i found mine actually stuck on the page in my owners' manual in the audio system section under "theft protection". if you can't find this tag, you'll have to get in touch with a honda/acura dealership. they will need the serial number of the radio, vin, & if you tell them you're calling from blah-blah shop (give them the address & phone # if they ask), you won't have to provide proof of ownership. having worked in the shop for years, i've run into this far too many times to count, and each time has been a success. now that i no longer work for a shop, i still use this method when the code isn't readily available.use the preset buttons to enter the code (five digits) & the radio should simply start playing. if you make a mistake while entering the code, continue the sequence without stopping. you have three tries, after which if you're unsuccessful, you must leave the radio turned on for one hour before trying again. hope this helps
