if the windows work when hooking to battery, then check the switches and wiring. it may even be a bad ground. I worked on power window a few months ago, and it had a bad ground as not to work. try by running a wire from motor or ground connection to a bare spot on door. if the window works then you can either put in a screw or ground to something on door.

I have an 1993 Acura Legend L care with a Bose sound system. I need to find a way to remove the stereo for the serial number... any suggestions?

check electric fan then check thermastat

This could happen if your fan is indeed weak.  To test disconnect the thermostat of the radiator by removing the terminals near the radiator hose towards the engine.  You should see the fan run at its highest speed, then you can check if your fan has weakened.

Starter Cutoff Relay

The Starter Cutoff Relay is located: Front seating area, driver side, under dash, mounted in fuse block.

TCS (traction control system, I think) is part of the ABS (anti-lock brake system). This system self diagnoses and stores codes in its control module. You need to get the code read and diagnosed by a competent shop, that may need to be an Acura dealer. This is important, I have seen some failures cause braking issues.

Here is the common cause of surges (idle speed goes up and down), stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

White smokee is normally a sign of coolant getting into a combustion chamber, due to a head gasket, leaking intake, or a crack in either. Check your coolant level! Running it with this problem will destroy your engine. I would get it pressure tested.

There is no other way to release the hood other than either trying to reach the latch release from under the car or removing the grille.

if your removing the seat there are 4 bolts that secure the seat rails to the floor of the car these are what the seat moves back and forth on, that need to be removed then find the electrical connector and unhook then remove the seat.
