If you had to "reset" the timing as you say, there is a chance that major valvetrain damage has occurred and a cylinder leak-down test should be performed to measure cylinder sealing. also there is a possibility the timing was not set according to exacting procedure which sounds like your symptoms. These are interference motors which can collide internally if timing skips jumps.
it could be a fuel pressure problem, or the none return valve is not working. (regulator) could even be a blocked filter in the fuel line. worst case its the pump.
first , as you try to turn on the ignition , move the steering back and forth to release the pressure on the lock tab on the steering shaft
next you will have to install a safety pin to stop the air bag going off
there are 4 bots that hold the lock assembly onto the shaft but you will need a grinder to get the bolts out as they have no heads
it is easier to remove the steering column complete from the car to replace the switch
it is not really a diy job unless you have a workshop manual and some mechanical experience
indications are that the battery is faulty or has dirty /loose battery posts and terminals
clean to shiny clean
have a load test done on the battery to check for bad cell
Hello, kcsw and thank you for asking your question on Fixya!
Here is a simple process that will walk you through a few steps that
will pinpoint the overheating problem on your 1992 Acura Legend,
without even using any tools. It has helped millions of people, and I am
certain that it will help you, because I wrote it for people in your exact situation. How to diagnose your overheating 11992 Acura Legend
No, it is not. Acura, and Honda Harmonic balancers, (the crank pulley), come off fairly easily once unbolted. Sometimes you have to pry on them a little, but I've never had any difficulty removing them.
That apparently is a 'non stock' switch. It could be for fog lights, or some people 'hot wire' the A/C compressor if they have problems. If it is a really small switch it may have to do with the security system. But beings it was put there after market/ production, there is no way to tell over the internet.
You probably have a problem with the Throttle position indicator, or it's connection. Or it's adjustment. Recommend you invest in a repair manual from your local Autoparts store. or filepeep.com if they have it or manualslib.com
If battery does not hold charge it probably needs to be replaced I don't know the age of the battery but if it is over 5 years old it's probably time for a new one hope this helps also you can take it to your local auto zone or advanced and they can do a battery test to see if the battery is actually the issue but it sounds like it is
