In the fuse box under the hood. If it's not working it's most likely a vacuum leak. The system works by a vacuum diaphragm that pulls on the throttle. Jeeps are notorious for vacuum leaks.

I would start by replacing the ignition switch. That's the easiest and cheapest option to start with.

if it is the sump oil temp then there is too much compression blow by getting into the sump. If it is a transmission oil temp then that indicates over loading of the transmission ( too fast or trailer too heavy) of slipping of clutches and bands ( out of adjustment) or excessive oil level ( frothing and aeration of the oil) or the radiator temperature is too high to allow cooling of the transmission oil

Oil level is the first thing I would check. Second is to change the oil. Lastly would be the oil pump.

the computer controlled alternator is a very good and reliable circuit-if your engine ground is good from the battery negative terminal and your positive charge wire and field wiring tiny hold down nuts are not loose for some reason-and your alternator belt tensioner is not stuck in a loose belt position-you probably just need a replacement alternator

Hello, If you get bad cell in the battery it can drain the system and overload the alternator output, the car is VERY sensitive to voltage.The clicking noise you hear is the starter solenoid not getting enough current.
Remove the battery, have it charged and TESTED on a battery tester, if it tests bad then replace it (the battery). Alternators usually do not fail unless contaminated by oil leaks or damged by aftermarket radios that require high current.
