How do you diagnose a Error code S016 Rt Frt Air
Wiring diagram for the front components of the suspension:
As you can see both the solenoids are wired seperately to the control unit. I think the problem would be in the wiring. You should get 0V at the suspension with the ignition off. Disconnect the harnesses at both wheels and measure the resistance on the solenoids. The readings should be within 10% of each other. Then disconnect the harness at the control unit and check each of the wires for:
- Continuity
- Short to battery voltage
- Short to earth
and repair where nescesary.
If you still have not found the problem I'd suggest using a set of leads, connect RF sensor to LF harness and vise versa. Then check to see if the code reader brings up LF wheel instead of RF wheel. If it does replace the strut - again!! If not your problem is wiring or control unit.
I have a 1996 Eldorado.
Your engine condition could be caused by many factors, and is difficult to pin point without knowing if there are any PCM trouble codes stored in memory. If the check engine light lites up, I am sure you would have a coded stored in memory, and would be the first place a I or a Technician would check before proceeding with diagnostic procedures. With this being said, When was the last time spark plugs or other maintenance was performed on this vehicle? How many miles are on the vehicle?

Need to know what code 1406 is
Hello, Code 1406 refers to the EGR Valve pintle position, If the wiring and connector is okay then you will need a new EGR Valve, It is located on side of engine on top near the fuel lines attached with two bolts has one electrical connector
I changed the starter on my eldorado but it is
Check your battery cables for corrosion, make sure they are tight, check the ground wire (black wire) from the battery to the engine, make sure it is clean and tight. Use battery terminal cleaner to clean cables (do get any on top o the battery) If cables are bad corroded, replace the bolts on the cable and make sure the battery connectors are clean, Have you tried a jump start? It may be a bad battery. If the lights con
me on that does'nt mean the battery is good.
My volts keep dropping an it sputters and
Please check if the rectifier/regulator unit has failed or is weak.
This can create fault in the charging system and cause fault in the ignition.Check the battery ground , clean terminals.
So check this out and check the timing ofthe engine.
HHow much should i pay
Why pay for it, just pull into any auto parts store and they will scan it for free, they want to sell you parts. But if you buy one,, I think the cheapest I saw was $250. You are in the new bracket there being a 96, the changed over from ob1 to ob2 in 95, sounds like start wars. Anyway, Check out ebay. they have a bunch on there.
My car keeps overheating, i've replaced the top
It might have an Air Lock, Have you bled the system after you have done the repair work? Try flushing the system and bleed it after you fill it up. Failing that the cylinder Head gasket might be on the way out if it has overheated and burned the head.
Dedecting which co2 sensor might be bad?
neither... just because the code is setting does not mean that the O2 sensors are bad
instead it means that the exhaust is too rich or too lean
rarely, and I mean very rarely, like 1 in 100, will replacing an O2 sensor resolve an O2 code
seek an experienced driveability tech that understands the theory of O2 and fuel trims
most of the time the cause is an intake vacuum leak, leaking injector, or valve-train issues
~~no heat ~~~ random misfire~~~ two o2 sensors inactive~~~
My sincere apologies for the severely delayed response.
